Reliance recently launched the successor to the Jio Phone, the Jio Phone 2 in India. The latest variant in the feature phone segment comes with one upgrade, i.e. a QWERTY keypad. Additionally, this phone also comes with WhatsApp support. However, it must be noted that the app will become available for the Jio Phone users on August 15, 2018, via Jio app store. Just like the Jio Phone, the Jio Phone 2 is also being pitted against Nokia’s banana-shaped 4G feature phone, the Nokia 8110 4G. In this post, we will be putting these two phones against each other to gauge which one fairs better.

But it must be noted that the Jio Phone 2 wins by two additional features, i.e. VGA selfie camera and NFC support. Also, going by the global pricing of the Nokia 8110 4G, it seems to be costlier than the Jio Phone 2, unless HMD Global plans to bring it at lesser pricing in India. Besides, Reliance will start selling the Jio Phone 2 starting August 15, 2018, while HMD Global is expected to launch the Nokia 8110 4G in Q3 2018 in India.
