
Last month, Xiaomi had filed a trademark application for a new smartphone brand dubbed POCOPHONE. The first POCOPHONE device, carrying the model number M1805SE10A had received the FCC certification earlier this month, suggesting that the device might be made official soon. It had also received certification from the EEC recently. The POCOPHONE smartphone has now been caught on video, revealing quite a few interesting details.
POCOPHONE F1: Beryllium Codename Revealed in Hands-On Video
The hands-on video reveals the first POCOPHONE branded smartphone from Xiaomi is codenamed “Beryllium”. Our regular readers will be aware that this codename was leaked on the web earlier this week. Rumors suggest “Beryllium” could be Xiaomi’s fourth flagship smartphone of 2018 and is expected to be launched in India sometime later this year. It was said to feature an LCD display with a notch at the top and could run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor under the hood. The smartphone, according to rumors, will also sport a large 4000mAh capacity battery. While no details regarding fast charging have surfaced yet, we can expect the handset to come with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0+ support. It will also come with NFC support and the dual-camera setup on the back of the handset is said to offer optical zoom feature as well.
