Sony, as of now, hasn’t announced its next possible flagship smartphone, the Xperia XZ3. But this yet-to-be-announced handset is now listed by the UK-based online retailer MobileFun. According to the listing, the unannounced Xperia XZ3 is priced at £749.99 (Rs. 67,424), and it will be up for pre-order on MobileFun started from July 17. The listing has also unveiled the specifications of the upcoming smartphone. So let’s have a look at what the leaked specs of the Xperia XZ3 are:
Sony Xperia XZ3: Features
According to the pre-release listing of the smartphone by the e-commerce website the Xperia XZ3 has a 5.7 inches display with 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the smartphone has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with Adreno 540 GPU. The phone packs 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and it also comes with a microSD card slot. There’s no mention on which Android version the Xperia XZ3 will run, but we can assume that the device will feature Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
Imaging-wise the Xperia XZ3 has a 19+12MP dual camera setup at the back while at the front the smartphone features a 13MP camera. Though there isn’t any mention of the autofocus technology in the primary camera it will most likely be Sony’s Hybrid focusing technology that combines phase-detection and laser-detection autofocus. We also expect the camera to feature 4K video recording. According to the listing, the Xperia XZ3 packs a 3240mAh battery and while there is no mention of quick charge either we expect it to come with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging along with wireless charging.
The specifications of the Xperia XZ3 mentioned by MobileFun look similar to that of the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, which is the current flagship smartphone of the company. According to MobileFun, the pricing and the specifications of the Xperia XZ3 are confirmed. However, it is quite likely that Sony will not just start the pre-orders of its upcoming flagship smartphone before announcing it officially. The device was earlier to be announced on August 30 during the IFA event, as per reports. Although, Sony has not confirmed the story.
