Mi A2, Mi A2 Lite Listed on Romanian Online Stores With Price Ahead of Xiaomi Launch Event on July 24

In just a few days from now, Xiaomi will be holding a global launch event in Madrid, Spain to unveil two new Android One smartphones – Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite. Both smartphones were recently found listed on a Polish retailer website. The duo has now been listed by a few Romanian online stores, complete with pricing as well as availability info.

Mi A2, Mi A2 Lite: Listed by Multiple Romanian Online Stores

The Mi A2 32GB storage variant has been listed online by QuickMobile.ro at €275 (Rs.22,000 approx.), while the 64GB storage variant has been listed at €300 (Rs.24,000 approx.). According to the retailer listing, both the 32GB and 64GB variants of the Mi A2 will be available in a week’s time. PCGarage.ro, on the other hand, has listed the Mi A2 32GB variant at RON 1,400 (Rs.24,100 approx.), and the 64GB variant at RON 1,600 (Rs.27,600 approx.). The retailer expects both variants to be in stock in about 11 days.

The Mi A2 Lite has been listed at €200 (Rs.16,000 approx.) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant and €245 (Rs.19,600 approx.) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant on QuickMobile. PCGarage has the Mi A2 Lite 3GB RAM variant listed at RON 1,000 (Rs.17,250 approx.) and the 4GB RAM variant at RON 1,200 (Rs.20,700 approx.). The Mi A2 Lite is expected to be available around the same time as the Mi A2 on both websites.

Mi A2: Specifications, Features

The Xiaomi Mi A2 will arrive with a 5.99-inch Full-screen IPS display with Full HD+ 1080 x 2160 resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio, similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Under the hood, however, the Mi A2 will be powered by a beefier Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz with an Adreno 512 GPU. In the memory department, Mi A2 is expected to be offered in three configurations – 4GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. Since the Mi 6X does not have a microSD card slot, we don’t expect the Mi A2 to support memory expansion either.

At the rear will be a 12MP + 20MP dual-camera setup with phase-detection autofocus, AI Scene Detection, and an AI-powered Portrait Mode. The smartphone will also be capable of shooting 4K Ultra HD videos. For selfies, the Mi A2 will have a 20MP snapper on the front. Keeping the lights on will be a 3010mAh battery. The Android One smartphone will also feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and come with the Face Unlock feature. In terms of software, the Mi A2 is expected to run stock Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box.

Mi A2 Lite: Specifications, Features

The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite will be the global variant of the Redmi 6 Pro, which was unveiled in China recently. It comes with a 5.84-inch sized notched IPS display with 1080 x 2280 Full HD+ resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Powering the Mi A2 Lite will be an octa-core 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 clocked at 2.0 GHz with an Adreno 506 GPU. It is expected to be available in two memory configurations – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. For further expansion, the Mi A2 Lite will include a dedicated microSD card slot. Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite will also come with a 12MP + 5MP AI dual-camera setup on the back, 5MP selfie camera, an IR blaster, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 4000mAh capacity battery. Similar to the Mi A2, it will be running stock Android 8.1 Oreo OS out of the box.
