There is now another reason for us to believe that the much-asked-for variant of the Xiami Mi Max 3 will be launching soon. Xiaomi has been silent about Mi Max 3 Pro, which is also expected to be a phablet like the Mi Max 3, but there have been leaks and there is no end to speculation. Today, a Chinese retailer put up a shopping page for the Mi Max 3 Pro, but without revealing much.
Mi Max 3 Pro: Launch Eminent?
It appears that the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is not far from launch now since China’s largest e-commerce store JingDong Mall has decided to list the product on its shopping pages, albeit without complete information. Interestingly, the phone is largely covered by a red cloth, with only a small portion of its display visible.
There have been leaks earlier, on the websites of Qualcomm and Xiaomi, that showed that the device will be similar in design to the Mi Max 3 but will come with more power. It appears that the Mi Max 3 Pro will have a large battery, faster processor, and a better chipset than the Mi Max 3. With three leaks already, there is a good reason to believe that the handset has either been made already or is under its final stages of production and might just launch soon.
Mi Max 3 Pro: Rumoured Specifications, Features
The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Pro appeared with that very name on JingDong, which further cements the hope that the device will be a phablet and a better one than the new Xiaomi offering Mi Max 3. While there is no official confirmation, what we know so far is that the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will be powered by Snapdragon 710, which is further strengthened by Qualcomm’s latest 10 nm chipset. In comparison, the Mi Max 3 was launched with a Snapdragon 660 processor. Also, the Mi Max 3 Pro will get a larger RAM at 6GB, while the Mi Max 3 comes with 4GB RAM.
Insofar as the looks are concerned, the Mi Max 3 Pro is expected to carry the same design as the Mi Max 3, with a 6.9-inch Full HD+ bezel-less display, that comes with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a screen resolution of 2160×1080. The internal storage of the device will be 128GB as opposed to the 64GB that the Mi Max 3 comes with. Camera gear will also be similar, with a 12MP primary sensor aided by a 5MP secondary sensor on the rear, and a selfie camera with an 8MP sensor.
The latest MIUI 10 skin over Android 8.0 Oreo will be packed in, with connectivity features in tandem with the latest in technology. Expect Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual SIM 4G VoLTE support, and reversible Type-C USB. We are also expecting the large 5,500 mAh battery from Mi Max 3, supported by 18W QuickCharge 3.0 from Qualcomm.
Mi Max 3 Pro: Price in India
The launch price in Chinese Yuan of the Mi Max 3 Pro is expected to be 1,999. That would work out to just a little more than Rs 20,000, but we believe the price of the handset in India will be Rs 22,999. Given that the phone comes with better specs than the Mi Max 3 and that you get a value-for-money phablet under the Rs 25K budget, this should be quite an appealing MRP for the Mi Max 3 Pro.
