The war of telcos seems to be touching newer heights with each passing. Reliance Jio’s entry into the telecom industry shook the parameters, and now its rivals are not leaving any stone unturned to stand up to the competition and retain their subscribers. Right from Airtel to Vodafone, many telcos are coming up with new plans to woo the users. In the latest development, Idea has launched a new pack for its users in multiple circles. Let’s take a look at what the plan offers.

Idea Rs.75 Prepaid Recharge Plan: Data, Voice Calls

The Rs. 75 recharge plan by Idea is valid in circles like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, and others. It is an open market plan, so Idea subscribers will easily spot it on recharge portals. As reported by TelecomTalk, the latest Rs. 75 recharge pack offers 1GB of 4G/3G/2GB data paired with 300 minutes of voice calling and up to 100 SMSes. The plan is valid for a period of 28 days.

Moreover, Idea recently launched a Rs 595 prepaid plan that offers 10GB of data for a validity period of 112 days. After reaching the data limit, the user will be charged 4p/10KB for using data. The pack also includes unlimited voice calls on both STD and local networks, and also on national roaming. Idea’s Rs. 75 Prepaid Recharge Plan vs Jio’s Rs. 49 Plan

When we compare Idea’s Rs. 75 plan with Jio’s Rs 49 plan, we see that Jio fairs better. The Rs. 49 plan by Reliance Jio comes with 1GB of 4G data, unlimited voice calling, and up to 50 SMSes. This plan is valid for a period of 28 days. Given that Jio’s plan is cheaper by Rs. 26, we think that it provides unlimited voice calling while Idea’s Rs. 75 plan only offers 300 minutes of voice calling.

Similar Plans By Airtel, Vodafone

Like we mentioned in the introduction, the war between telcos has several players. Vodafone recently launched Rs. 47 recharge pack to compete with Jio. This pack offers 125 minutes of local, STD, and national roaming voice calls. It includes 500MB of 2G/3G/4G data alongside 50 SMSes for the entire validity period of 28 days.

Airtel, on the other hand, has several plans under Rs. 50 for shorter validity periods. The telco has Rs. 18 plan that offers 100MB of 2G/3G/4G data for 2 days. Another plan offers unlimited local, STD and roaming calls coupled with 200MB of data and up to 100 SMSes per day for a validity period of 2 days. Then there is Rs. 24 plan that includes 135MB of 2G/3G/4G data. Lastly, Rs. 29 plan offers 150MB of 3G/4G data for a longer validity of 28 days.

Coming to other plans, Airtel’s Rs. 59 prepaid recharge plan comes with 500MBs of 3G/4G data for a validity period of 7 days. The plan also includes unlimited voice calling for local/STD/roaming calls and up to 100 SMSes per day.

Well, as we can see, Jio’s Rs. 49 is still a better choice than the plans from other telcos. Are you an Idea user? If yes, then what’s your take on the Rs. 75 recharge plan, do you think it is good enough? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
