Motorola unveiled the Moto G6 series smartphones back in April. The company also debuted the Moto E5, and E5 Plus handsets at the same event. In addition to these devices, we were also aware of the fact that the Lenovo-owned brand was prepping for its first smartphone with a notched display, the Motorola One Power. The smartphone has been leaked multiple times in the past, and had received the 3C certification in China a few weeks back.
Well, the Motorola One Power has now passed the TENAA certification in China, putting it one step closer to its formal launch. The certification authority has listed the specs of the smartphone, along with the images, revealing the handset in its full glory. If we have a look at the above renders, we can see that the device will come equipped with a notch, and will have dual rear-facing cameras.
Motorola Moto One Power: Features, Specifications
Going by the specs listed by TENAA, the Motorola Moto One power will flaunt a 6.18-inch TFT LCD display with 2246×1080 pixels resolution. The smartphone will be powered by an octa-core 1.8GHz processor, which can be the mid-range Snapdragon 636. Furthermore, the phone will come in three different RAM and storage configurations. The two base models will pack 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB storage, whereas the higher-end variant will come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard memory. On the software front, the device will run Android 8.1 Oreo with stock Android UI. Some even believe that the Moto One power is going to the company’s first Android Go-powered smartphone.
In terms of optics, the device will sport a dual rear-facing camera setup consisting of 16MP+5MP sensors. On the other hand, at the front, the smartphone will feature an 8MP camera for taking selfies and video calling. Connectivity-wise, the handset will ship with dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n ac, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. A 4850mAh battery is expected to keep the lights on. Just like the other Motorola handsets released this year, the Moto One Power is expected to come with fast charging support as well.
The smartphone measures 155.8×75.9×9.98mm dimensions-wise and weighs around 170 grams. The device will be available in four colour options: Black, White, Gold, Silver. As of now, Motorola hasn’t sent out any invites for the launch of this smartphone. However, with the device clearing the 3C, MIIT, and TENAA certification, it is clear that its launch is imminent. The smartphone could launch in China before any other market.
