The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 goes on sale today exclusively at Amazon India, starting at 12 pm and lasting until the stock does. The device comes in two storage variants — 3GB RAM plus 32GB internal storage, and 4GB RAM plus 64GB internal storage. The smaller storage variant comes in at Rs 9,999, and the 64GB storage model will sell for Rs 12,999. You can buy the handset for nine-month EMIs for no interest cost, starting Rs 1,111 per month.

There is a flat Rs 500 cashback in Amazon Pay, which applies only if you pay for the order between 12 and 1 pm. You can pay online from any bank or card to avail this cashback, but it does not apply to Cash on Delivery mode of purchase.

Xiaomi Redmi Y2: Specifications, Features

The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 is a budget smartphone that comes with a fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, and a large 5.99-inch HD+ full view display. The handset gets a 16MP front camera that is further strengthened by a soft 4500K light for natural and clear selfie images, and has Beautify 4.0, which enhances your images based on artificial intelligence. A Snapdragon octa-core processor and AI camera features for a phone under ten thousand rupees is any day a good buy.

The phone’s dual rear camera gives the popular bokeh effect with its 12MP+5MP setup, and gets superpixels for a superior quality of images. Other camera features include phase-detection autofocus and Auto HDR.

The Redmi Y2 comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio of display, a 3,080 mAh battery, and an infrared remote, which helps you control home appliances from your phone itself. The phone is claimed to last a whole day on a full charge, even with gaming and other heavy use. The phone uses the latest MIUI 9.5 skin based on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo, weighs 170 grams, supports dual SIM connectivity, and has a fast graphics processor called Adreno 506. There is a third and dedicated slot for SD card, if you wish to expand the phone’s storage up to 256GB. Both the front and rear cameras get LED flash, and there is electronic image stabilization for HD video recording at 30 frames per second.
