When it comes to build, the Motorola handsets are primarily made out of polycarbonate, while the OPPO A3s also comes with a polycarbonate build but with a glossy back cover. Even though they are very similar in terms of build, the OPPO A3s has the biggest display with slim bezels and a slightly more attractive design.

Moto G6 Play and Moto E5 Plus are both powered by an older and less powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset under the hood with an Adreno 505 GPU. In the memory department, the two Motorola smartphones feature 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with a dedicated microSD card slot for further expansion. Quite clearly, the OPPO A3s has the edge when it comes to performance.

OPPO A3s vs Moto E5 Plus vs Moto G6 Play: Camera Features

OPPO A3s is the only device of the three to feature a dual-camera setup on the back. It features a 13MP + 2MP dual-camera setup with the primary sensor coupled with an f/2.2 aperture and the secondary sensor coupled with an f/2.4 aperture. Thanks to the dual-camera setup, users can take great-looking Portrait shots using the A3s. For selfies, there is an 8MP snapper on the front with an f/2.2 aperture, AI Beauty 2.0, and Face Unlock support. Moto G6 Play features a 13MP primary camera with PDAF and an f/2.0 aperture, while on the front it gets an 8MP module with an LED flash. Moto E5 Plus comes with a 12MP rear camera with PDAF + Laser autofocus and a 5MP selfie camera on the front with a Selfie Flash. While none of the three devices are stellar in the camera department, the A3s has a slight edge thanks to its dual rear cameras and impressive 8MP selfie camera.

OPPO A3s vs Moto E5 Plus vs Moto G6 Play: Battery Life, OS

The OPPO A3s packs a large 4230mAh capacity battery, higher than most other OPPO smartphones. Thanks to the large battery, OPPO claims the A3s can provide up to 18 hours of usage on a single charge. Moto E5 Plus, however, trumps the A3s with an even bigger 5000mAh capacity battery with fast charging support. Moto G6 Play is no slouch either, packing a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. Even though all three smartphones are very impressive in terms of battery life, there is no doubt that the Moto E5 Plus is the clear winner here.

When it comes to software, the OPPO A3s runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1 out of the box. Both the Motorola smartphones currently runs on the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with a near stock Android experience.

OPPO A3s vs Moto E5 Plus vs Moto G6 Play: Final Conclusion

As we have seen in our comparison above, the OPPO A3s offers quite a few advantages when compared to the two Motorola smartphones. It has a slightly better design, larger display with a higher screen-to-body ratio, more powerful processor, dual rear cameras, and an 8MP selfie camera with AI Beauty 2.0. However, if battery life is what you are after primarily, the Moto E5 Plus is the one to go for. It also offers a near stock Android experience, which some of you may prefer over OPPO’s custom ColorOS 5.1 software on the A3s.
