Huawei Honor View 10 8GB+128GB Memory Variant Sale Today in China: Price, Specifications

Huawei's sub-brand Honor has launched a beefed up 8GB RAM variant of the Honor View 10 in China. The phone will be up for sale, starting today.

Huawei launched its Honor View 10 (Review) smartphone, earlier this year. The phone was targeted to be the top-end device in the mid-range segment. At that time, the Honor View 10 was launched in two variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. In the latest developments, the company announced an all new 8GB RAM + 128GB storage in China. The same variant will now be hitting the sale shelves today in the country.

Huawei Honor View 10: Price in China, Availability

The latest 8GB RAM variant of the Honor View 10 will be up for sale at CNY 3,299 (approx. Rs. 33,539), starting today i.e. August 14, 2018. With this variant, Honor is targeting the buyers who want optimum RAM power in a mid-range handset. Although the internal storage is same as the 6GB RAM variant, extra RAM would enable better multi-tasking and enhance overall performance. The 8GB RAM variant of the phone comes in Navy Blue, Midnight Black, Beach Gold, Aurora Blue, Charm Red colour options. In China, the phone will be up for purchase via JD.com, Huawei’s Vmall, and Sunning. The sale will start at 10:08 AM in China (7:38 AM IST).

The Honor View 10 aka Honor V10 comes with GPU Turbo update from Huawei, which is a worthy addition for the users who love gaming on smartphones. The latest 8GB variant of the Honor View 10 is going to adorn the GPU Turbo tech further. Except for the RAM and storage capacities, the new variant is exactly the same as the other variants of the phone. It comes with a 5.99-inch display bearing 18:9 aspect ratio and a Full HD+ resolution. The phone does not have a notch design and its front panel has Gorilla Glass protection.

Under the hood, the View 10 is equipped with the HiSilicon Kirin 970 octa-core chipset, which is a flagship processor from the company. There’s an NPU (Neural Processing Unit) for AI processes in Camera and a Mali-G72 MP12 GPU. The internal storage on the phone can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

In the camera department, the View 10 gets a dual-camera setup at the rear packing 16MP RGB primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, and 20MP monochrome secondary sensor. The camera can record 4K videos, and supports Portrait mode alongside several AI assisted features. For selfies, the phone has a 13MP camera on the front that also supports Portrait mode.

A 3750mAh battery with Super Charge tech for fast charging backs the device. There’s a fingerprint sensor at the front of the device embedded into the physical Home button placed at the bottom of the front panel. Connectivity options on the Honor View 10 include dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, dual-band (2.4GHz + 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Infrared, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, Bluetooth v4.2, USB Type-C (2.0), and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the software side, the phone runs EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.

Huawei Honor View 10 8GB RAM Variant: Expected Launch in India

In India, Honor launched the 6GB RAM variant of the Honor View 10. And now that the company has come out with an 8GB RAM model in China, we can expect it to launch it in India as well. However, we are yet to hear an official confirmation regarding that from Honor. If it launches the variant in India, then we can expect it to be priced under 35K bracket. And with that kind of pricing, the phone will be competing with the likes of Asus Zenfone 5Z and the OnePlus 6 in India.
