Motorola recently launched the flagship smartphone Moto Z3 and the budget smartphone E5 Plus in an event in China. While Xiaomi officially announced the Mi Pad 4 Plus only two days back. As of on August 16, all the three devices went on sale in China. Let’s take a look at the price and specifications concerning all the three devices.
Mi Pad 4 Plus: Price, Specifications
The 64GB variant of the Mi Pad 4 Plus comes with a price tag of 1,899 Yuan (approx. $275) and the 128GB model sells for 2,099 yuan (approx. $305). The device comes in two colors- black and gold.
The Mi Pad 4 Plus features a full-metal body adding a premium touch to the device. The device sports a 10.1-inch IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1200 WUXGA Full HD resolution and an aspect ratio of 16:10. Underneath, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz with an Adreno 512 GPU clocked at 650 MHz. For imaging, the device sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture featuring HDR (High-dynamic-range imaging) and Beauty modes. On the software front, the device runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9 out of the box. The front of the device comes with a 5MP snapper with an aperture of f/2.0 and features like AI face unlock, HDR, Beauty mode. The connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, USB, and Type-C.
Moto Z3: Price, Specifications
The Moto Z3 is up for grabs in China at a price tag of 3,999 yuan which translates to Rs.40,600 approximately. The latest flagship device from Motorola comes with a 6.01-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2160 Full HD+resolution with an added layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect the device against the physical damage. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core chipset clocked at 2.45 GHz with an Adreno 540 GPU. Most of the flagship devices come with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 chipset but the Motorola flagship disappoints in the hardware department. Anyway, the Snapdragon 835 SoC on the Z3 is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 2TB using a microSD.
Moving on to the optics, the Moto Z3 features a 12MP + 12MP dual-camera setup at the back. The camera supports AI-powered Portrait photography and intelligent scene recognition along with the support for Google lens functionality. On the front, the Moto Z3 features an 8MP snapper an aperture of f/2.0 and a screen-flash for handling the low-light shots. The device is fuelled by a 3000mAh capacity battery with Turbocharging support. The connectivity options that tag along with the device include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C, NFC, and 4G VoLTE.
Moto E5 Plus: Price, Specifications
The Moto E5 Plus is priced at 1,299 yuan (Rs.13,200 approx.) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant, while the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of the device is priced at 1,699 yuan which translates to nearly Rs.17,300. The device comes with a 6-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is fuelled by a massive 5000mAh capacity battery with 18W fast charging support. The Moto E5 plus is already available in India but it’s a little different from the one that went on sale in China today. The Moto E5 Plus sports dual rear cameras, while the Indian variant comes with a 12-megapixel rear shooter which is assisted with an LED flash for low-light shots.
Under the hood, the Moto E5 Plus is equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 425 chipset which is paired with 3GB/4GB RAM, based on the variant. The smartphone can be used for multitasking, and you can also play games on the big screen without having to worry about the performance of the device.
On the connectivity front, the device comes with options like 4G with VoLTE support, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and a microUSB 2.0 port. Also, there is dual-SIM support, so you can use two networks at the same time.
