Several images as well as specifications of an interesting all-screen smartphone have surfaced. These photos clearly indicate the smartphone belongs to Vivo. Interestingly, an information table alongside the images also reveals the name and other hardware specifications of the device. The official looking images and the spec sheet point to Vivo V11, a capable smartphone packing higher-end hardware.
An intriguing smartphone from Vivo recently passed through the Thailand authority responsible for certifying smartphones and other mobile communication devices. The mobile phone appears to be the mysterious Vivo smartphone christened Vivo V11. Let us look at the specifications of this exciting new Vivo smartphone.
Vivo V11: Specifications
The Vivo V11 appears to be a premium smartphone from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer. This is because the smartphone sports a large, near bezel-less Super AMOLED display. As per the information, the screen measures 6.41-inch diagonally, and has a Full HD+ 2340 x 1080 display resolution with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The images indicate that Vivo V11 adopts a modified ‘waterdrop’ notched display. Interestingly, a very similar display is found on the Oppo F9 smartphone.
The as-yet announced Vivo V11 smartphone packs a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 AIE SoC within. The power rating of the chipset as well as the GPU isn’t confirmed. However, the octa-core 14nm processor is usually clocked at 2.2GHz, and works Adreno 512 GPU. The spec sheet does indicate that Vivo V11 packs 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage space. There’s even a provision to boost the storage capacity by up to 256GB via a micro-SD card.
For imaging, the Vivo V11 features a dual rear camera unit. The camera consists of 12MP + 5MP sensors. An LED flashlight assists the dual-camera setup. Needless to mention, this is not a powerful camera unit. However, the upcoming Vivo smartphone does pack a large 25MP front camera for selfies and video calling. In essence, the Vivo V11 smartphone could be meant for selfie lovers.
The leaked specifications of the alleged Vivo V11 smartphone indicates the smartphone packs a relatively large 3,400mAh battery pack. Connectivity options on the Vivo V11 include Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS, 4G LTE. The handset offers a dual SIM setup. The smartphone will run on Android 8.1 Oreo during shipping. But it will have Vivo’s own custom Funtouch skin atop the Android OS. Interestingly, the spec sheet also reveals the dimensions and weight. The V11 measures 157.91x75x7.9mm and weighs 156 grams.
Vivo V11: Features
The highlight of the Vivo V11 smartphone is undoubtedly the Super AMOLED display. Having an S-AMOLED screen means that the device will be able to produce sharper colors with a higher contrast ratio. Additionally, the handset will have a higher brightness level, which is going to be very beneficial while using the smartphone outdoors. Devices with IPS LCD screens are unable to produce the same brightness levels as S-AMOLED panel.
Moreover, because the S-AMOLED panels are ultra-thin and flexible, manufacturers have additional freedom to make their smartphones sleeker and better looking. This should explain the presence of waterdrop notched display. Incidentally, AMOLED technology is more energy efficient than IPS LCD technology. Couple this with the energy efficient Snapdragon 660 SoC, and the 3,400mAh battery could offer very long runtimes.
However, besides the Super AMOLED display, the Vivo V11 has one more interesting feature. It packs an under-display fingerprint scanner. This in-display biometric authenticator is still a novelty, and not many smartphones have the same. It is truly commendable that Vivo V11 offers such a technique for unlocking the smartphone.
Vivo V11: Price and Availability
The leak appears to be very comprehensive. It includes almost all the details about the Vivo smartphone. However, besides the speed of the processor and the GPU, the specification sheet also omits price and availability of the Vivo V11.
Our readers are cautioned that the information is not confirmed or attested by Vivo. Hence the specifications, including the branding of the smartphone may change. However, we at MSP Gear will certainly keep our readers updated with any new information.
