Vivo is expected to announce the release of X23, the legitimate successor to the X21 in China soon. Ahead of the big announcement, the Chinese smartphone maker even created a teaser page for the device asking enthusiasts to register their interest for the new phone model. Recently, just prior to the launch, the X23 has been spotted on the gadget certification platform Geekbench, carrying a model number as Vivo V1809A. The device has managed to score a whopping 1728 points in the single-core test, whereas for the multi-core it has secured a solid 4408 points.
Going by the earlier leak, two new Vivo handsets with model number Vivo V1809A and V1809T were spotted at 3C certification website. Among the two, we are pretty sure that the current V1809A is X23, while another variant in the lineup might emerge as another high-end model, similar to the Vivo X21 Plus UD.
Considering the details revealed by the benchmarking website, we can see that the X23 will be packing the recently-announced octa-core Snapdragon 710 SoC and 8GB of RAM. Additionally, there’s no doubt that Vivo will announce a 6GB RAM variant of the device as well, that will come with either 64GB or 128GB internal storage. On the software front, the smartphone will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Vivo’s custom Funtouch user interface.
The details revealed so far by Vivo tells the X23 will feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display that will have a FHD+ resolution and a 91.2 percent screen-to-body ratio. The screen will even have an in-display fingerprint sensor similar to that of Vivo X21 Plus UD. Apart from that, the phone will sport a 3D glass design, offering a shinier look. In terms of imaging, the smartphone will feature a dual camera setup in a vertical fashion along with a dual-tone LED flash.
For now, there are no details available regarding the sensor and pixel count on the dual lenses at the back. Though the device is expected to feature an AI-powered camera at the front, for the selfies and video calling. Additionally, it also might offer a DAC converter for the audiophiles out there.
Considering the device has appeared on the Geekbench platform, and the company has revealed the teaser page for the upcoming device, we don’t think that the launch of Vivo X23 is too far. However, TENAA certification is expected to reveal the design and other specifications that the X23 will be offered prior to the announcement of the launch.
