Now let’s talk about the camera hardware on the Nokia 6.1 Plus. The Android One smartphone features a 16MP + 5MP dual-camera setup with the primary 16MP RGB sensor coupled with an f/2.0 aperture and the secondary 5MP monochrome sensor coupled with an f/2.2 aperture. While there is no OIS, the smartphone does have electronic image stabilization (EIS) to help users capture steady footage. It also comes with various AI-assisted camera features like intelligent scene recognition, AI Portrait Mode, masks, filters, and more. Another key highlight of the dual rear cameras on the Nokia 6.1 Plus is HDR imaging technology, which is claimed to help capture crisper and sharper images. For selfies, the Nokia 6.1 Plus has a 16MP resolution snapper on the front with 1.0um pixel size and an f/2.0 aperture. For unlocking the handset, you can either use the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor or the Face Unlock feature.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Dual 4G VoLTE, FM radio, and a USB Type-C port. Fueling the internals of the Nokia 6.1 Plus is a 3060mAh capacity non-removable battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 standard. The smartphone measures 147.2 x 70.98 x 8.59mm (including camera bump) and weighs in at 151 grams. In terms of software, the Android One handset will ship with the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box.
