Numerous leaks in the past had already given us a fair idea of what to expect regarding the internal of the upcoming Vivo X23. Teaser images and videos also revealed how the device would feature a waterdrop notch. Allegedly, new official specification posters have emerged that confirm the rumoured internal setup of this handset. The phone will indeed feature the Snapdragon 670 chipset powering this device. This would be paired with 6GB of RAM. Furthermore, the uncovered posters give us benchmarking scores that showcase exactly where the new processor lines up beside other mobile chipsets in the market today.

Vivo X23: Not Featuring Snapdragon 710

Initial reports regarding the specifications of the Vivo X23 mostly pointed towards the phone having a Snapdragon 670 SoC onboard. However, a Geekbench listing spotted recently led everyone to believe that the phone would be powered by a Snapdragon 710 instead. If these new posters are indeed official, then the Vivo X23 will feature the slower processor after all.
The Snapdragon 670 is not too much of a downgrade over the Snapdragon 710, but it is one nevertheless. The former offers an 8-core CPU with its cores clocked at 2.0GHz. The latter, on the other hand, also comes with 8 cores but the clock speeds are marginally higher at 2.2GHz. The uncovered posters show benchmarking results of the new chipset which shows how it barely lags behind the Snapdragon 710 in terms of both CPU and GPU performance.

Vivo X23: Other Expected Specification

Another aspect confirmed from the leaked posters is the resolution of the Vivo X23’s display. The phone will feature a Full HD+ (2340 x 1080) resolution display. This means the expected 6.4-inch display will feature an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. This lines up with previous leaks which pointed towards such a display which will likely offer a 91.2 percent screen to body ratio.

Vivo’s official teasers have already confirmed that the phone’s display would offer a tiny waterdrop notch which will house the selfie camera. Furthermore, the clean aesthetics of the device pretty much solidify the existence of an in-display fingerprint scanner being offered on this device. This would be the fourth generation of this technology which should be faster and more accurate at scanning fingerprints.

While the new poster only talks about a 6GB RAM model, it is expected that an 8GB RAM variant will also be released. No confirmation yet regarding the internal storage of the device, but we do expect 64GB and 128GB offerings. Either way, it is being said that the phone will offer microSD card expandability up to 256GB.

Unfortunately, the camera setup of the Vivo X23 is yet to be confirmed. The rumour mill suggests the phone might offer a 12MP + 12MP combo at the rear, while the front camera would consist of a 24MP sensor. The battery on this device is claimed to measure 3500mAh and would support fast charging over a USB Type-C port.

Vivo X23: Price, Launch Date

Vivo was supposed to officially unveil the X23 on August 20. The launch event was abruptly cancelled and postponed until further notice. Reports suggest the launch event has been rescheduled for 30th of August. We cannot confirm this at the present moment and it might be best to take this report with a grain of salt.

The price of this device is also a matter of speculation right now. Based on the pricing of the Vivo X23’s predecessor (Vivo X21), it is expected the new handset to be priced somewhere between Rs. 35,990 to Rs. 39,990. The phone will be available in three colour options – Magic Night Blue, Phantom Red and Phantom Purple.
