HMD Global, the Finnish mobile phone company has recently launched the Nokia 6.1 Plus, that is the first smartphone to offer Android One coming from the company. The smartphone was launched as Nokia X6 in China in May this year. Here is a list of top five features of the Nokia 6.1 Plus that you need to know about.

As mentioned earlier, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is an Android One smartphone that comes with Android 8.1 Oreo. This device belongs in the list of the first batch of devices receiving the latest Android 9.0 Pie update.
The Nokia 6.1 Plus is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset that is clocked at 1.8GHz paired with 4GB RAM. The processor is further combined with an Adreno 509 GPU that makes a great choice for those who love playing games on their smartphones. Compared to its predecessor Nokia 6.1, the Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with significant improvements.
AI-assisted Camera Features
The dual camera set up at the rear of the Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with AI-powered features including intelligent scene recognition, AI Portrait Mode, masks, filters, and more. Another notable feature that comes bundled with the dual rear cameras on the Nokia 6.1 Plus is the HDR imaging technology, which is claimed to help capture brighter and sharper pictures. The Nokia 6.1 Plus does not feature OIS, however, the smartphone does bring electronic image stabilization (EIS) to help you get a steady shot.
As mentioned earlier, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is the first notched Android One smartphone from the company. The device sports a 5.8-inch IPS LCD notched screen with 1080 x 2280 Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio 19:9.
The Nokia handset is fuelled by a 3060mAh Li-Ion battery that comes with QuickCharge 3.0 and 18W adapter. The smartphone can be charged up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus smartphone features an aluminum frame design layered with Corning Gorilla Glass on both front and back of the handset. The Nokia 6.1 Plus offers a single memory configuration with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The device provides an option to expand the memory further. The Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with Hybrid Dual-SIM slots instead of any dedicated microSD slot.
For imaging, the Android One smartphone packs a 16MP + 5MP dual-camera setup with the primary 16MP RGB sensor coupled with f/2.0 aperture and the secondary 5MP monochrome sensor coupled with a f/2.2 aperture. On the front, the Nokia 6.1 Plus features a 16MP image snapper with 1.0um pixel size and a f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. The device comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and also packs the Face Unlock feature. You can choose either of the options to unlock the handset. The connectivity options that tag along with the Nokia 6.1 Plus include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Dual 4G VoLTE, FM radio, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone measures 147.2 x 70.98 x 8.59mm and weighs 151 grams. On the software front, the Android One handset will ship the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box and will get the Android Pie update.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with a price ticket of Rs.15,999 in India. The device will be available in a single variant only. The Nokia 6.1 Plus will be available on the Nokia online store. You can also get the device from Flipkart. The handset is now available for pre-order on both Flipkart and Nokia Official Site. You will be able to buy the Nokia 6.1 Plus Android One smartphone starting August 30.
