Looks like Xiaomi has been planning to announce the release of the latest POCO F1 in global markets one at a time. The company recently announced that the smartphone will be available for purchase in India for the first time in a flash sale on August 29 at 12 PM. In the recent development, Xiaomi has announced that POCO F1 will be available in select European countries too.

Apart from the Indian markets, The Xiaomi POCO F1 or the Pocophone F1 will be available in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland under 400 euros, which will be the cheapest bet for the flagship smartphone. The company followed an aggressive pricing policy while announcing the device in India. The starting price of the device in India is Rs. 20,999.

As per reports, the Swiss dealer ACSComputer Weber has recently listed the 64GB version of the Pocophone F1 to be priced at 410 Swiss francs, the company director Patrick Weber confirmed. According to him, the smartphone will be available for sale on August 29. The device is also available to go for sale in Austria on the same day. Furthermore, the standard variant of the Pocophone F1 with 4GB RAM and 64 GB of internal onboard storage for 399 euros.

Xiaomi POCO F1: Specifications, Features

The POCO F1 features a 6.18-inch with 1080 x 2246 Full HD+ resolution IPS LCD display and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. The display is further protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. One of the most notable integrations on the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor under the hood. The device comes with support for the LiquidCool technology and you don’t have to worry about the performance of the device while indulging in intense gaming sessions. The device offers three different memory configurations – 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. The POCO F1 comes with Hybrid Dual-SIM slots that give you the flexibility to expand the onboard storage by up to 256GB.

For imaging, there is a 12MP + 5MP dual-camera setup with a Sony IMX363 primary sensor coupled with a f/1.9 aperture and a secondary Samsung sensor for depth-sensing. The POCO F1 makes a good use of Artifical Intelligence to empower the device with some really cool features. It can detect 206 scenes across 25 categories and comes with an AI-powered Portrait Mode as well. The front of the smartphone is a 20MP resolution camera for selfies and video calling. The front-facing camera also comes with IR Face Unlock that is claimed to unlock the phone in just 0.4 seconds. One more impressive specification that the POCO F1 packs is its large 4000mAh capacity battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. With the power the battery is equipped with, the POCO F1 is expected to offer superior battery life as compared to nearly all the smartphones competing with it.

The connectivity options that tag along with the POCO F1 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, and Dual 4G VoLTE. The other key features that the company provided the POCO F1 include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual smart PA for clear audio, and Dirac HD sound. On the software front, the POCO F1 runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9 with the POCO Launcher on top. The company claims that the device will get the latest Android 9.0 Pie update soon.

Xiaomi POCO F1: Price in India, Availability

The Xiaomi has priced the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage at Rs.20,999. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will sell for Rs.23,999. Xiaomi has also launched an Armored Edition of the POCO F1 that comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage, which will be priced at Rs.29,999. The device comes in multiple color options – Graphite Black, Rosso Red, and Steel Blue. The device goes on sale on August 29.
