POCOPHONE F1 Launched Globally by Xiaomi at Price Starting 329 Euros; Sale Starts from August 30

Last week, Xiaomi launched the POCO F1 flagship-grade smartphone in India, the first smartphone under the POCO sub-brand. Just a few days after its debut in the Indian market, POCOPHONE today launched the F1 in various global markets.

POCOPHONE F1: Price, Availability

The POCOPHONE F1 will go on sale in various countries across Europe, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. Xiaomi has priced the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of the smartphone in Europe at 329 euros (Rs.26,800 approx.), while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will cost 369 euros (Rs.30,000 approx.).

In Indonesia, the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at 4,499,000 IDR (Rs.21,500 approx.), while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at 4,999,000 IDR (Rs.23,900 approx.). The Armored Edition with the same 6GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage is priced at 5,199,000 IDR (Rs.24,900 approx.).

In Malaysia, the POCOPHONE F1 has been priced at RM1,237 (Rs.21,100 approx.) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and RM1,428 (Rs.24,400 approx.) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Xiaomi is only launching the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant in Singapore, where the smartphone is priced at S$449 (Rs.23,000 approx.).

POCOPHONE F1: Specifications, Features

The POCOPHONE F1 features a 6.18-inch notched IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2246 Full HD+ resolution and an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It runs on a flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor clocked at 2.8 GHz with an Adreno 630 GPU. To make sure the chipset delivers great performance without any thermal throttling, Xiaomi has equipped the POCOPHONE F1 with LiquidCool technology. The smartphone comes in two memory configurations for the global markets – 6GB RAM + 64GB and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The smartphone comes with Hybrid Dual-SIM slots, making it possible for users to expand the storage further by up to 256GB.

Moving on to optics, the POCOPHONE F1 features a 12MP + 5MP dual-camera setup at the rear with AI scene detection and an AI-powered Portrait Mode to help users capture portrait shots with a DSLR-like background blur effect. The front-facing camera is a 20MP resolution unit with IR Face Unlock support. This means you can use the Face Unlock feature on the POCOPHONE F1 even in the dark and expect the handset to unlock almost instantly. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Dual 4G VoLTE, and a USB Type-C port. One of the main highlights of the POCOPHONE F1 is its large 4000mAh capacity non-removable battery. Featuring Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support, you will not have to wait very long for the smartphone’s battery to be fully recharged. The POCOPHONE F1 also comes with stereo speakers featuring Dirac HD Sound, dual smart PA, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of software, the smartphone will ship with the Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9 out of the box. The Android 9 Pie update for the F1 is expected to be rolled out before the end of the year.

POCOPHONE F1: Price in India

While the POCOPHONE F1 is available in only one or two memory configurations in global markets, the POCO F1 comes in three memory configurations in India. The base variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage is priced at Rs.20,999, making it the most affordable Snapdragon 845-powered smartphone on sale in India. Priced at Rs.23,999 is the middle variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Featuring 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, the top-end configuration costs Rs.28,999. For Rs.1,000 more, you can get the POCO F1 Armored Edition with the same 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The F1 comes in three colors – Rosso Red, Steel Blue, and Graphite Black.
