Indian smartphone market will welcome three power-packed mid-range Android smartphones this week. Interestingly, the Xiaomi POCO F1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, and Oppo F9 Pro are quite diverse in their aesthetics and configurations. During the first sale, expected to be held on August 29, HDFC Bank credit and debit card holders will get a Rs.1,000 discount on the F1. Reliance Jio subscribers can avail instant benefits of Rs.8,000, along with up to 6TB of additional 4G data.

The smartphone features a 6.18-inch 1080 x 2246 Full HD+ resolution IPS LCD display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. Besides the Snapdragon 845 and ample memory, there’s even LiquidCool technology that claims to assure processor maintains its peak performance even during extended gaming sessions. A dual camera setup includes 12MP + 5MP Sony sensors that are boosted by AI-powered features which include detection of 206 scenes across 25 categories, on the front is a large 20MP camera that promises Face Unlock in just 0.4 seconds. Surprisingly, the Xiaomi POCO F1 packs a large 4000mAh battery that keep the device running.

Nokia 6.1 Plus: Price, Specifications, Features

The Nokia 6.1 Plus sports a 5.8-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. It packs a Snapdragon 636 processor paired with an Adreno 509 GPU. The smartphone has 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory. The notched display on the smartphone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It has a dual rear camera setup with a 16MP + 5MP sensors mounted on the back. The phone features a 16MP selfie camera on the front that supports HDR and AI-assisted features such as portrait lighting effects, optimized color contrast, etc.

Nokia 6.1 Plus

The Nokia 6.1 Plus has a 3060mAh battery. The battery appears a little small but it supports Quick Charge 3.0. This is an Android One smartphone, and hence, buyers can expect to receive the latest security updates as well as the Android 98 Pie operating system earlier than the smartphones with customized versions of Android.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus is the most affordable smartphone among the three. The single 4GB/64GB variant costs just Rs. 15,999. But despite the pricing, it comes in a beautiful and sturdy glass construction built around an aluminium frame.

Oppo F9 Pro: Price, Specifications, Features

The Oppo F9 Pro is perhaps the most aesthetically pleasing smartphone among the three. While the POCO F1 has a large notch, and the Nokia 6.1 Plus has a smaller notch, the F9 Pro sports a beautiful water drop display. Oppo has a fit a large front camera within the tiny island.

The F9 Pro features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and the aspect ratio is 19.5:9. A coating of the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protects not just the display but also the back of the smartphone. A powerful mid-range MediaTek Helio P60 processor, paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, along with a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU, powers the smartphone.

The Oppo F9 Pro packs a dual camera setup on the back. Accompanying the 16MP primary is a rather tiny 2MP secondary sensor for depth effect. The smartphone packs a very large 24MP, f/2.0 aperture camera for AI-assisted selfies.

The device packs a 3500mAh battery that supports VOOC Fast Charging system. It uses as many as five levels of protection layering from the adapter to the port including the interior of the smartphone. The charging tech replaces the traditional voltage reducing circuit with an MCU thus preventing the smartphone from overheating while charging.

The smartphone is available only in 6GB/64GB variant, and it costs Rs. 23,990, with several launch offers. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, with a custom layer that Oppo calls the ColorOS v5.1.
