Honor 8X Max Revealed by Retailer along with Specifications Ahead of Launch

Ahead of its launch in China, the Chinese e-commerce retailer, Suning revealed the the renders and some of its specifications of the Honor 8X Max on its official website

We were aware for sometime now that Huawei’s subsidiary brand Honor will be announcing the Honor 7X successor in the form of Honor 8X and the Honor 8X Max at an event in China on September 5. Prior to the release of these devices, Honor already has started teasing some details of the phone starting from few days. Now, ahead of launch, the Chinese e-commerce retailer, Suning has revealed the Honor 8X Max on its official website along with the renders and some of its specifications.

Honor 8X Max: Rumoured Features

Going by the detailed live page, we can see that the Honor 8X Max will come with a 7.12-inch display with Full HD+ resolution along with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will have a Water Drop notch similar to that of the new handsets which we may come across in the markets. The phone will measure 177.57×86.24×8.13mm in terms of dimensions and will weigh around 156 grams. The smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Kirin 970 chipset. However, some rumours suggested that the device will be fuelled by an octa-core Snapdragon 636 or 660 chipset a few days ago. The handset will be available in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with 64GB and 128GB storage respectively. On the software front, it will run Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2, out of the box.

In terms of imaging, the Honor 8X Max will feature a 16MP+2MP dual rear-facing cameras. For selfies and video calling, the handset will equip either a 8MP or a 13MP sensor. Connectivity-wise the phone will offer a dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n ac, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS/A-GPS, microUSB 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Keeping the lights on there will be a 3750mAh battery that will have a fast charging support. The phone already had received the required TENAA certification a few days ago, where the listing had mentioned that the device will be packing a 4900mAh battery. The smartphone will be available in Black, Blue, and Red colour options
