The upcoming Google flagship smartphones, the Google Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL are no mystery. These devices have appeared with reliable regularity over the course of several weeks. A couple of Google smartphones have just hit the wireless certification authority FCC.
The Federal Communications Commission or FCC has received two devices, codenamed A4RG013C And A4RG013A. The devices are categorized as “Smartphone”. Interestingly, the FCC listing mentions all the relevant details about the wireless communication standards, including WiFi, GSM and 4G, as well as NFC. Digging a little deeper, it becomes clear that the FCC IDs belong to Google. Moreover, owing to the previous FCC IDs and the naming convention followed by Google, the FCC IDs most likely belong to the upcoming flagship smartphones from the search giant.
The FCCI D A4RG013A could belong to the Google Pixel 3, while the A4RG013C could the upcoming and larger variant, the Pixel 3XL. Sadly, the FCC listings do not present much information about the specifications and features of the third generation of the Pixel smartphones. However, previous reports, including vivid videos exposing the smartphones have been quite revealing. Let’s recap the details about the Google Pixel devices that Google could launch on October 9.
Google Pixel 3: Rumored Specifications
According to the recently leaked images, the Google Pixel 3 will have a 5.5-inch 18:9 display with FHD+ 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution. Interestingly, the smartphone evidently lacks the notch, which we will get to see in the Pixel 3 XL. Google appears to have implemented the premium glass and metal back for the standard variant. The device will also house a rather standard fingerprint sensor on the back.
Qualcomm’s current flagship SoC, the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 845 paired with 4GB of RAM, will power the Google Pixel 3. The smartphone could pack 64GB internal storage. As expected, the Google smartphone will run the latest Android 9 Pie right out the box.
Strangely, Google has embedded a single rear camera on the Pixel 3. Its details are still a mystery. Moreover, Google is rumored to include an unimpressive resolution. Interestingly, the Pixel 3 will have not one but two front-facing cameras, each with 8MP sensors having f/1.8 and f/2.2 aperture respectively.
The Pixel 3 will have a rather small 3,000mAh battery. But Google could implement some Fast Charging tech, coupled with AI-powered battery optimization. The smartphone will have the USB Type-C reversible connector, but will not sport the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Google Pixel 3 XL: Rumored Specifications
According to the numerous leaks and reports that have surfaced recently, the Google Pixel 3XL will sport a massive 6.7 inches screen with 1440 x 2960 resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio display. The will also have a notch at the front. Incidentally, Google could be deploying an interesting variation that we haven’t seen in any of the devices available in the market till date.
The same Snapdragon 845 SoC found in Pixel 3, will power up the Pixel 3XL. Google could embed at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. We just might see a higher-end model as well, which could come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB memory.
Just like the Pixel 3, the Pixel 3 XL could feature a single rear-facing camera which might have a 12.2 MP resolution. While at the front, the handset is supposed to sport an 8.1MP camera for selfies and video calling. A slightly larger, 3,430mAh battery could power the device which would have fast charging support.
According to the most recent leak, Google could bundle USB Type-C headphones, USB Type-C cable, 3.5mm to USB Type-C adapter, and in-ear style earphones inside the Pixel 3 XL box. We, at MySmartPrice, will certainly keep our readers with any new information about the upcoming Google flagship smartphones.

However, a fresh report by Bloomberg had revealed a few days ago that Google is planning to launch the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL at an event in New York City on October 9.
