Dell Inspiron 7000 Series with Intel 8th gen Whiskey Lake Processor Launched at IFA 2018

Dell has now updated its Inspiron 7000 series of laptops at the IFA 2018. The all-new Inspiron notebooks take a number of design cues from its costlier ultrabook brother the XPS 13. It, in fact, improves on certain areas, especially in terms of the screen to body ratio. The Dell Inspiron 7000 series of laptops starts at $879.99 for the base 13-inch model.

The American PC maker has updated not just the externals, but also the internals of the all-new Inspiron 7000 series of the notebook. Gone is the polycarbonate chassis, which is now replaced with a machined aluminum unibody construction. It gives the new laptops a premium appeal and improves on their durability. Another noticeable upgrade in the Inspiron 7000 notebooks is the display.

The notebooks now come with an option of either 13 inch, 15 inch, and 17-inch panels, both of which come with bare minimal bezels on all its three sides. The chin, however, continues to sport the conspicuous Dell logo, but the camera has now been moved from the bottom position on the predecessor to the standard location on the top of the display. Furthermore, Dell will be providing an optional UHD display for both the 13-inch and 15-inch models.

Internally, the Dell Inspiron 7000s comes with the latest Intel Whiskey Lake 8th generation U Series Core i3, i5 or i7 processors. This is paired with either 8GB or 16GB of DDR4 RAM. Some models even come with a Nvidia GeForce MX150 graphics card. Additionally, Intel Optane Memory comes as a standard with 15-inch and 17-inch variants.

Dell has made some improvisations related to the webcam placement in its new Inspiron 7000s lineup., The webcam, which is now placed at the top of the IPS Panel comes with a 4-element lens for better low-light imaging with Temporal Noise Reduction. Other features of the Dell Inspiron 7000s include Fingerprint sensor, USB Type c port (function both as a Power Delivery and Display port) and Active Pen support. Moreover, Dell has also revealed that its new Inspiron line will get Alexa support starting Autumn this year,

Dell Inspiron 7000 Series (2018): Price, Variants, Availability

The Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 notebooks will be available starting October 2 in USA and Canada. The 15-inch model of the Inspiron 7000s is the cheapest of the lot starting at $849 (Rs 59,000), whereas the 13-inch and 17-inch model cost $879.99 (Rs 62,000) and $1,099.99 (Rs 77,400) respectively. There’s also an Abyss Black variant of the 15-inch model with UHD display priced at $1,2499.99 (Rs 88,000).
