New Apple Mac machines incoming

Apple has registered three Mac machines on the EEC certification website. One of the devices has model number A2615. This new Mac model is likely the upcoming Mac Pro or a higher-end Mini that could feature the new M1 Pro or M1 Max chips. This machine is currently being tested in India as well, according to our industry sources. Our sources also tell us that this model should launch in the coming months. However, the launch timeline remains unknown.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman had previously claimed that the upcoming Mac Pro will launch in two different processors. These could be the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips that are found on the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models.

The other two models have the model numbers A2686 and A2681. The latter is expected to be a MacBook. However, its model number remains unknown. It is being heavily rumoured that the upcoming MacBook will be an entry-level Air model with the new M2 chip. Therefore, while there is no confirmed report, we can speculate A2681 to be the upcoming MacBook Air M2.

The upcoming Air variant is rumoured to get a major redesign. According to the leaked design renders, the new MacBook Air will have a flat design. It will launch in multiple colour options. Apple is said to offer only two USB Type-C ports on the MacBook Air. The laptop could feature a slightly larger 14-inch screen with thick white bezels. Other details of the upcoming Mac machines remain unknown. We will share more details once available.
