The outward foldable mechanism is now more refined and the hinge module is more durable with a dual rail structure, which basically diffuses external impacts. The smartphone also comes with armour aluminium frames and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection applied on both the cover display and back cover to add some more durability. Moreover, the device is also IPX8 rated, which makes it dust and water-resistant. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is available in Icy Blue, Phantom Black, and Cream colour options.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is the pinnacle product from South Korea and naturally, it is the most powerful smartphone as well. The device is powered by the latest custom-made Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The chipset comes with enhanced graphics and offers some useful AI features to elevate the gaming experience. The device offers 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 13 and offers One UI 5.1.1.

One of the major upgrades comes in the camera department. The device packs multiple cameras. To start with the cover display, you get a 10MP shooter for selfies and video calling with f/2.2 aperture. Then you have a 4MP under-display camera that offers a f/2.2 aperture. Moreover, you get a triple-camera setup on the back. The phone offers a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, dual pixel AF and IOS support. The device also packs a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 123-degree of FoV along with a 10MP telephoto lens with PDAF, f/2.4 aperture, 3x optical zoom, and OIS support.

Samsung has added a plethora of features and optimisations to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, which further enhances the overall experience. To start with, the improved taskbar now helps users to switch between frequently-used apps with ease. The two-handed drag-and-drop feature allows users to move content between apps and screens. An app can operate in the background with a hidden pop-up, allowing users to view footage on full screen and interact with friends in a floating pop-up on the side of the screen.
Display and S Pen Support
The latest foldable smartphone also comes with the support for S Pen. Known as S Pen Fold Edition, the stylus has been further fine-tuned to deliver a superior experience when it comes to writing on the foldable device. Moreover, the company has added different tools and features to improve productivity while using the stylus. More importantly, the company has introduced a new Slim S Pen Case that allows users to store the S Pen, eliminating the need of finding some space in the bag or pocket.

Battery and Fast Charging
Although the latest foldable smartphone comes with some great features and specifications, it still lacks in some departments. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 battery backup is just as its predecessor, which could have been improved in our opinion. Also, the 25W fast charging support still seems to be low at a time when brands are offering over 100W fast charging support on their smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 starts at Rs 1,54,999 for the base variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 12GB+512GB model will cost Rs 1,64,999 and the top of the variant with 1TB storage along with 12GB RAM is priced at Rs 1,84,999.
