Samsung has launched ‘Customized Cooling' for its 2025 Bespoke AI Windfree ACs, integrating SmartThings automation to sync with smart fans. The system ensures temperature stability without the constant need for manual adjustments, optimizing energy efficiency in the process.
The Problem: ACs and Fans Don't Work Together—Until Now
A study by Samsung found that 50% of Indian households use both ACs and fans at night, frequently toggling them on and off for comfort. This not only disrupts sleep but also leads to increased electricity consumption. Samsung's new feature aims to eliminate this hassle by creating a fully automated, AI-driven cooling environment.
How It Works
The SmartThings-powered system monitors room conditions and adjusts fan and AC settings accordingly. If the room gets too cold, the AC automatically scales down while the fan maintains air circulation. When the temperature rises, the AC resumes cooling—all without user intervention.
While designed primarily to improve sleep quality, the feature also ensures optimized cooling throughout the day. Samsung claims this approach will lower energy bills while maintaining a comfortable indoor environment.
With this innovation, Samsung is further expanding its SmartThings ecosystem, reinforcing its push toward intelligent, connected home appliances.
