Moto Tag: Features
The Moto Tag is a compact tracker with dimensions of 31.9 x 8 mm, and weighs just 7.5 grams. It has a plastic build with an IP67-rated waterproof design for added durability. It can stay submerged in fresh water for up to 30 minutes. The tag comes with Bluetooth 5.4, Ultra Wideband (UWB), and Bluetooth Low Energy technology.
The highlight of the Moto Tag is the support for Google’s Find My Device Network, which is a solid competitor to Apple’s AirTag tracking ecosystem. The tag can communicate with nearby Android devices to help the owner trace the location of the tag. This means that even if the tag is out of the Bluetooth range, you can track your tag using the network of Android devices globally.
The Moto Tag uses end-to-end encryption, ensuring the safety of the tag owner and the network of devices that it uses for tracking. It supports a Bluetooth range of up to 100 metres. The tag also has single-tap pairing to quickly pair it with your smartphone.
The tag also has unwanted tracking alerts. This means that if someone tries to misuse the tag for spying on a person, it will alert nearby Android phones that they are being followed to enhance user safety.
The Moto Tag is powered by a user-replaceable CR2032 battery. It is rated for a battery life of up to 1 year.
