HONOR Revises Magic Series Software Policy
HONOR has announced that the Magic series smartphones will now receive up to seven years of major updates in the EU. This move makes the OEM match with the industry leader’s software update policy. However, the new software update policy will not be applicable for the Magic Lite series smartphones.
HONOR claims that the new move will allow Magic series users to access cutting-edge AI features and innovative functionalities for many years, far exceeding the industry norm of 3 to 5 years. It also aims to prioritise customer experience and promote the industry-wide adoption of longer software lifecycles.
