At Acer Global Press Conference 2021, the company has announced a bunch of new products including a new range of Chromebooks, new gaming desktop portfolio, Vero products, new monitors, 4K projectors, and a ConceptD 7 SpatialLabs Edition Laptop for 3D Creators. Let’s take a look at the specifications, features, and prices of all the new products announced by Acer at the event.
Acer ConceptD 7 SpatialLabs Edition
The Acer ConceptD 7 SpatialLabs Edition laptop is powered by 11th Gen Intel Core H-series processors and multiple graphics options, including the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU. The laptop offers glass-free stereoscopic 3D to designers and developers. The new ConceptD 7 is an ideal laptop for 3D modelling. Along with this, a 15.6-inch version of the ConceptD 3 Ezel and a 16:10 version of the ConceptD 3 were also announced.
The laptop can be configured up to up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 2 TB of NVMe PCIe SSD storage. There’s also a UHD 4K display up front with 100% of the Adobe RGB colour gamut and a Delta E<2 colour accuracy rating. Other features include stereo cameras that track eye positions and the movements of a user’s eyes and head in order to display images in stereoscopic 3D format. The machine supports all major 3D file formats and lets creators convert their 3D models into stereoscopic 3D by importing them into the SpatialLabs Model Viewer. The laptop can also be used in tandem with an extended 2D screen.
The Acer ConceptD 3 comes in multiple models with a 16-inch clamshell model featuring a 16:10 aspect ratio screen and a new 15.6-inch convertible model. There is also ConceptD 3 Pro and ConceptD3 Ezel Pro are also available – both featuring up to an Intel Core i7 processor capable of reaching 4.6 GHz and an NVIDIA T1200 GPU.
Pricing
The ConceptD 7 SpatialLabs Edition starts at EUR 3,599 (approx. 3,14,300). The ConceptD 3 starts at USD 1,699.99 (approx. Rs 1,28,000). The ConceptD 3 Pro will be available starting at USD 1,899.99 (approx. Rs 1,43,100). The ConceptD 3 Ezel and Exel Pro are priced at USD 1,899.99 (approx. Rs 1,43,100) and USD 1,999.99 (approx. Rs 1,50,600)respectively. The laptops will be available later in North America in 2022 and in some parts of Europe starting December 2021.
Acer Predator Orion 7000
The company also expanded its gaming portfolio with Orion 7000 desktop series. These machines are powered by 12th Gen Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 GPU. It features up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 series GPUs and up to 64GB DDR5-4000 RAM. The chassis features transparent, tempered glass side panels showcasing two 5.5-inch Predator FrostBlade 2.0 front fans and a third 4.7-inch Predator FrostBlade 2.0 rear fan that can be lit with a dazzling array of ARGB colours.
For gamers, Intel Killer 2.5G LAN offers smoother and faster connectivity for online gamers. In terms of port options, you get USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C, two USB 2.0 ports, and three audio jacks.
Price
The Predator Orion 7000 will be available in North America in mid-2022 and in Europe starting Q1 2022. It starts at EUR 2,199.
Acer Predator GD711 and Predator GM712 Gaming Projectors
The company also announced two new high-end projectors. These are smart 4K LED gaming projectors compatible with console and PC gaming systems. The Predator GD711 features a 125% wide colour gamut, 4,000 LED lumens of brightness, and HDR10. The Standard mode offers 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution, but you can also switch to 1080p@120 Hz or 1080p@240 Hz for consoles and PCs.
The Predator GD711 Projector is priced at EUR 1,499 and the Predator GM712 Projector costs EUR 1,399. It will be available in Europe later in 2022.
Acer Chromebooks
Acer also expanded its Chromebook lineup with four new additions – Chromebook Spin 514, Chromebook 515, Chromebook 514, and Chromebook Spin 314. All laptops run on ChromeOS and also comes with Google Play Store. The Spin 514 is a 14-inch Convertable with Full HD display, up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processors, and a FHD webcam. You also get dual upward-facing speakers and DTS audio. The convertible also comes with MIL-STD 810H certification, dual USB Type-C ports, Corning Gorilla Glass touchpad, a backlit keyboard and Intel Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+).
The Acer Chromebook 515 is powered by up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and Intel Iris Xe Graphics, up to 16GB RAM and 512 GB PCIe NVMe storage. Upfront, you get a 15.6-inch FHD IPS screen. The Chromebook 514 is powered by MediaTek Kompanio 828 chipset and is rated to last up to 15 hours. It also offers up to 50% charge in just 30 minutes. It has a 14-inch matte display, backlit keyboard and USB Type-C ports.
The Chromebook Spin 314
The Acer Chromebook Spin 314 features an environmentally-friendly OceanGlass touchpad made entirely out of plastic waste that has been recycled into a glass-like texture. The laptop is powered by Intel processors. It has a 14-inch FHD IPS touchscreen display and offers up to 10-hour battery life. Connectivity options include a USB 3.2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, an HDMI port and a MicroSD card slot. Wi-Fi 6 and 2×2 MU-MIMO connectivity for faster wireless connectivity.
The Acer Chromebook Spin 514 is priced at USD 699.99, USD 499 for the Acer Chromebook 515 while the Chromebook 514 is priced at USD 399. Lastly, the Acer Chromebook Spin 314 starts at USD 499.99.
Antimicrobial Product Portfolio
Under the antimicrobial product portfolio, Acer announced a bunch of new products. The TravelMate Spin P4 antimicrobial convertible laptop TravelMate Spin P4 is a business-grade laptop with a silver ion antimicrobial agent covering high-touch surfaces such as the chassis, keyboard, touchpad, and more. These Silver ion particles are highly reactive that reduces the growth rate of microbes upon contact.
In terms of specifications, the laptop is powered by up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 vPro processor, up to 1 TB of M.2 SSD storage. The laptop features a spill-resistant keyboard and is also MIL-STD 810H certified. It has a 14-inch FHD antimicrobial screen with Corning Gorilla Glass display with 360 degrees functionality. Other features include up to 13.5 hours battery, fast charging, optional LTE support, USB Type-C port and Thunderbolt 4 ports.
Acer Enduro Urban N3 and Urban T3
The Acer Enduro Urban N3 is another durable 14-inch laptop with 450nits brightness, military-grade (MIL-STD 810H)durability and IP53 rating. The Urban N3 comes with antimicrobial 360 Design and antimicrobial Gorilla Glass. It is powered by up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, Nvidia GeForce MX330 GPU, and 32 GB of DDR4 memory.
The Acer Enduro Urban T3 is a durable 10-inch tablet with MIL-STD-810H certification, IP53 certification, and antimicrobial 360 design. It has a Full HD screen with 600nits brightness. Other features includes 5MP front camera, dual-band WiFi, MediaTek Octa-core processor and 4 GB of RAM.
The comaonny also announced Acer VE246Q monitor with 23.6-inch FHD VA panel, antimicrobial 360 design, 178-degree viewing angel. Acer Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse KM501 and Acer Bluetooth Mouse B501 were also launched priced EUR 59.90 (approx. 5,200) and EUR 24.90 (approx. 2,200) respectively. Laslty, the Acer Eco-Shell Protective Jacket was also launched for USD 169.99.
Acer Vero Products
Acer Vero series products are built using post-consumer recycled plastic and they are shipped using recyclable packaging. The Acer Aspire Vero is a 99% recyclable 15.6-inch FHD IPS display and is powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors and Intel Iris Xe Graphics. It also comes with features like Wi-Fi 6, a Type-C USB port and two Type-A USB ports.
The Acer TravelMate Vero is powered by 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB SSD. It also comes with built Windows 11 Pro. The Acer Aspire Verois priced at USD 699.99 and the TravelMate Vero is priced at USD 899.99.
