The makers of Adipurush have reportedly already sold the movie’s digital rights to an OTT juggernaut, and it appears to be a significant profit even before its debut. According to a report in OTT Play, Amazon Prime Video purchased the digital rights to Adipurush for a staggering Rs 250 crore.
It already had earned a whopping 270 crores from its distribution rights in both Telugu and Hindi languages and now gained another 250 crores from selling digital rights, which means it is already in profit, taking into account its 500 crore budget. Even before it was made available for screening, it has become a success.

The most awaited movie of 2023, “Adipurush,” is a retelling of the Ramayana, and stars Prabhas as Raghav and Kriti Sanon as Janaki. Saif Ali Khan will be playing Ravana and Sunny Singh will be playing Hanuman. Directed by Om Raut, the movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair.

Adipurush made a dramatic comeback with its well-revised VFX, which was warmly appreciated by the public after it faced harsh criticism for its VFX. Adipurush is the most anticipated movie of the year and its final teaser was released a month ago and has been viewed by 73,215,479 people till now. One can gauge the hype the movie has created among the audience.
According to film trade reports, the movie has already profited significantly from the sale of the distribution rights. For the rights to distribute the movie in the two Telugu-speaking states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, People Media Factory paid about Rs. 150 core. According to another report, the distribution rights for Adipurush in the Hindi Belt and the rest of South India were reportedly sold for Rs 120 crore. Total earnings from the film’s distribution rights are Rs 270 crore. In total, more than one lakh tickets were sold in pre-booking stage.
