Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are back on screen together. Ben Affleck, who is also the director, producer, and star of Air, a comedy-drama about Nike’s introduction of the iconic Air Jordan basketball shoe, brings new life to the now-famous tale behind one of the most successful items in history. On April 5, 2023, the movie received its formal release. In the United States, AIR reportedly opened in 3,000 theatres. After its theatrical run, the movie was to be streamable on Amazon Prime.
Now, Ben Affleck’s film AIR will debut in India on May 12 only on Prime Video. The OTT platform will release the critically praised movie in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The game-changing alliance between Michael Jordan, then a rookie, and Nike’s infant basketball business is highlighted in AIR. It chronicles a career-defining risk taken by an unorthodox team (Nike), a mother’s unwavering vision for her son’s extraordinary skill (Deloris Jordan), and the formative years of basketball sensation Michael Jordan, who would go on to become one of the greatest athletes of all time.
Affleck plays Nike co-founder Phil Knight, and Matt Damon portrays rebellious Nike executive Sonny Vaccaro. Jason Bateman plays Rob Strasser in the movie, and other actors include Gustaf Skarsgard as Horst Dassler, Chris Messina as David Falk, Matthew Maher as Peter Moore, Marlon Wayans as George Ravelling, Chris Tucker as Howard White, Viola Davis as Deloris Jordan, and others.
