Airtel 5G Services Now Available in Dehradun and Agartala

Slowly and gradually, Airtel is also expanding its 5G Plus services in India. The second-largest telecom operator has now added two more cities to the list, where 5G Plus services will be available from Thursday (January 19th, 2023). The 5G Plus services are available in Dehradun (the largest city in the state of Uttarakhand) and Agartala.

In Dehradun, Airtel 5G Plus services are available at Garhwali Colony, Saundhon wali, Aman Vihar, Transport Nagar, New road Race Course, Mothrowala, Ekta Vihar, Chakrata Road, Rajpur Road, and Prem Nagar, Chandrabani, Balawala, Miyawala, Dehrakas, Patel Nagar, Paltan Bazar, Niranjanpur, and Sewla Kalan.

In Agartala, 5G Plus networks are available in these areas: East Champamura, Rani Bazar, Mohanpur, Tripura Secretariat, Chowmuhani Bazar, Santipara, Durjoy Nagar, Jogendra Nagar, Amtola, Chandrapur, Indranagar, Sib Nagar, Kanchan Nagar, Khayerpur, Madhya, and Charipara. In addition, the telecom operator announced that its services will be available in a phased manner and is expected to cover all circles by March 2024. Meanwhile, Artel said that customers will get 20-30 times faster speed with a 5G network and provides video streaming in high-definition, instant downloading, uploading, and gaming. Notably, Airtel 5G Plus services are dependent on non-standalone technology, which is dependent on the 4G network, whereas Jio True 5G services are dependent on standalone technology. However, Airtel claims that it has more than 1 million customers on its 5G Plus services, while Jio offers services on an invitation basis under its Welcome offer. Both companies are providing 5G services without any extra cost.

Jio True 5G Services In India

It is worth noting Reliance Jio True 5G services are available in 134 cities, which means it is leading in rolling out the newly launched network whereas Airtel 5G Plus is present in 47 cities. However, Airtel claims that it has more than 1 million customers on its 5G Plus services, while Jio offers services on an invitation basis under its Welcome offer. Both companies are providing 5G services without any extra cost.

Apart from that, Reliance Jio recently launched Rs 61 pack for its 5G customers. This pack offers 6GB of 5G data until the action plan last, which means this pack does not come with any validity and only offers data benefits to the users.
