In a span of just 10 days, the three three major telecom operators in India 一 Airtel, Vi (Vodafone Idea), and Jio hiked their prepaid recharge plan tariffs and took users by surprise. Airtel and Vi prepaid plans are now hiked by up to 25% and starting December 1, Jio users will also have to spend more on prepaid plans.

This move by telecom operators gained a lot of traction on the social media platform, Twitter. Understandably, many customers expressed both disappointment and anger against the price hike. Lastly, another popular quarterly plan, which offers 1.5GB per day costs Rs 719 on Airtel and Vi and it costs Rs 666 on Jio.
