To cover 300 cities by March end, Airtel has launched its 5G Plus services in 125 cities. After this launch, the 5G services of the telecom operator are available in 265 cities across the country. Notably, the telco is offering 5G Plus services on non-standalone technology, which is different from Reliance Jio‘s standalone mode. To those unaware, Reliance Jio 5G services are available in 304 cities and it plans to cover all cities by the end of this year, while Airtel is expected to roll out 5G Plus services by March 2024 end.

Airtel has added 5G Plus services in 125 cities in all major cities from the northern city of Jammu to Kanyakumari. However, the company has not shared the exact list of cities, where 5G Plus has been launched. This development comes soon after Airtel announced that more than 1 million users in Mumbai are using its 5G Plus services, whereas it has managed to covert 10 million users to the same network.

It is worth noting that Airtel’s 5G Plus services have been launched northern city of Jammu to the southern tip of Kanyakumari. Apart from that, the services are available in these cities.

Airtel 5G Plus Services: Details

For the uninitiated, the telco launched 5G services in October 2022 at Indian Mobile Congress and now its services are listed in more than 200 cities. Plus, all leading smartphone brands are compatible with Airtel’s 5G services. The list includes Realme, Xiaomi, Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, Tecno, Infinix, Apple, OnePlus, iQOO, Motorola, Nothing, Nokia, Lava, Google Pixel, Asus ROG, LG Wing, and Honor 50.

In addition, the telecom operator promises to offer 20 to 30 times faster speed than a 4G network, rapid call connection times, and superior voice quality. Plus, Airtel said that its network is built on environmentally friendly solutions and unique power reduction solutions.
