
Airtel has announced the launch of 5G Plus services in Kolkata. This means that the customers in Kolkata will now be allowed to enjoy 5G services in all 26 cities, including Bongaon, Bankura, Haldia, Ranaghat, Contai, Krishnanagar, Puruliya, Raniganj, and Kolaghat. Now, customers will experience high-speed internet and unlimited data with Rs 239 or above plans. Notably, postpaid customers are allowed to enjoy unlimited data without any extra cost, which means there is no cap on data across all existing plans.
Airtel said that its 5G Plus services will be available in a phased manner as it is constructing a network and completing the rollout. However, to enjoy the 5G Plus services of the company customers should have a 5G-enabled device. It is worth noting that Airtel 5G Plus services are now live in more than 265 cities and plan to cover 300 cities by the end of this month. Besides, the telecom operator is likely to provide cover all states and UTIs by March 2024 end.
