Airtel has now introduced a new 4G plan in India. The all-new plan offers unlimited calls without FUP and 1.4GB data/day. The latest plan from the once leading telecom provider in India is yet another dig at Jio. It is Airtel’s sixth data cum calling package plan for its prepaid customers.

The Airtel’s latest plan would set you back at Rs 419. It is valid for a period of 75 days. It would come with almost all the benefits one can expect from these kinds of prepaid plan. The introduction of new plans like this every month is a clear indication of Airtel’s struggle to match up with Jio. The latter, while not introducing new plans every month, is often than now running various offers to provide data boost to the customer. Just a few weeks back Jio was providing 1.5 data/day free to its customers in addition to the 1.5GB/2GB/3GB data that’s being offered through its various prepaid tariff plans.

Unlike a few other Airtel prepaid plans which are available to only select users, the Rs 419 plan can be recharged on any number attached with the telecom provider. Further, it will be valid across all circles in India. Currently, Airtel offers its 4G services in all 22 telecom circles in India.

Airtel Rs 419 Prepaid Tariff Plan: Features, Benefit, and Validity

The all-new Rs 419 plan is essentially like its Rs 399 tariff, with an extra five days of validity being the only plus point. Additionally, unlike the later, the former is an open market plan. Under this plan, users will get 1.4GB of daily 4G data in addition to free voice calls without any sort of FUP limit. Apart from data and free calling, Rs 410 tariff plan provides 100 free SMS/day.

The latest tariff plan from Airtel comes with a validity of 75 days. It’s worth noting that the 1.4GB of 4G data/day can be used on 3G and 2G networks as well. Therefore users needn’t worry if they don’t yet have a 4G coverage in their area.
Recently, Airtel has passed out a circular to its consumers living in a few metro cities including Kolkata to change their old SIM with new 4G ones. Consumers failing to do so in a stipulated time may face disruption in services.

Airtel Prepaid Tariff Plans Explained: 1.4GB Daily Data & Much More

Airtel currently offers a wide range of prepaid tariff plans to its existing user base. Surprisingly enough all these six plans come with 1.4GB data/day, with the validity period being the only major difference between them. The cheapest of the six available plans cost Rs 199 and appears to be aimed at RS 149 plan offered by Reliance Jio. Other plans include Rs 219, Rs 399, Rs 448, and Rs 509.

The basic Rs 199 and Rs 219 plan offer a similar benefit to that of the Rs 419 plan, with the validity period being 28 days. The only advantage Rs 219 plan has over Rs 199 is the presence of free Hello Tune subscription for 28 days. Next up, the Rs 399 tariff is applicable for a period of 70 days, however, Airtel is giving it for 84 days for some select users. The Rs 448 and Rs 509 plans are valid for a period of 82 and 90 days respectively.

Airtel Rs 419 vs Jio Rs 399: Benefits, Validity

The latest Rs 419 plan from Airtel, despite offering decent enough benefits fails to match up with Jio’s prevalent tariff plans. That said, the differences between the two plans aren’t that significant. The Reliance Jio is currently offering 1.5GB data/day along with unlimited calls 100 SMS and complimentary access to Jio’s paid apps at Rs 399. Moreover, users are being offered a Rs 50 instant discount in the form of vouchers on recharging through Jio’s official app. Additionally, the Jio plan is valid for a longer period, 84 days to be precise.
