There’s a lot of brewing in the telecom sector, with rivals churning out new plans everyday and working on revising some. After Vodafone started reviewing its prepaid plans, Airtel took the same path. Airtel first revised its INR 169 plan alongside the INR 199. In its latest move, Bharti Airtel has put two more plans in the revision list. These two new additions are INR 399 and INR 448 prepaid plans.

Airtel Revises INR 399 and INR 448 Plans

The revised INR 399 prepaid plan from Airtel now offers unlimited local and STD calls in a validity period of 84 days. The plan also includes 1GB of 4G daily data, summing up to 84GB of total data. Additionally, users get up to 100 local and national SMS daily, which means throughout the validity period users can send up to 84,000 SMSes. Before the revision, the same plan was bundled with 1.4GB of daily data with a validity of 70 days.

The second plan to enter the revision territory is the INR 448 prepaid plan that now comes with a validity period 82 days with unlimited local and STD calls, 1.5GB daily data (up to 123GB of total data). Earlier, the same plan was capped at 1.4GB of daily data and is now offering 100MB of extra data.

Airtel Introduces First Recharge Plans Under INR 100

Airtel has also overhauled its first prepaid recharge plans for the subscribers who are new to the telco. Earlier, the first recharge plans from Airtel used to start at INR 178, going up to INR 559. The telco has now added a brand new plan in the mix that starts for as low as INR 76.

The latest and cheapest plan offers a talktime of INR 26 and is valid for 28 days. It offers 100MB of daily data, local and STD calls at 60 paise per minute. Under the first recharge scheme, Airtel has many other plans that include INR 178, INR 229, and INR 495. All these three plans include unlimited local and STD calls and up to 100 SMS per day. The major difference lies in the varied validity periods and daily data limit of these plans, respectively.

The INR 178 plan from airtel offers 1GB of daily data for a validity period of 28 days whereas the INR 229 plan includes 1.4GB of daily with 28 days of validity. The INR 495 plan from Airtel provide 1.4GB of daily data for the new users and is valid up to 84 days.

New users on Airtel can choose from a slew of new plans falling under INR 100. There are plans of INR 23, INR 35, INR 65 and INR 95. All these plans come with a validity period up to 28 days. For the Airtel users who seek extended validity and talktime, they should consider INR 145 and INR 245 prepaid plans.
