Bharti Airtel recently announced that its Platinum postpaid customers will be able to access ZEE5 content free of cost as part of its #AirtelThanks rewards program. The company has now updated its Airtel TV app for the Android platform with a few new features and improvements aimed at enhancing the viewing experience for users.

Airtel TV App for Android Now Features a Dark Mode, PiP Mode, and More

The latest version of the Airtel TV app for Android reportedly brings a new dark mode feature, which should help improve battery life on devices that feature an AMOLED display. In addition to extending battery life slightly, dark mode is easier on your eyes as well. Airtel has also made some changes to the navigation method, which is again aimed at improving the viewing experience for its users. Another new feature that the latest Airtel TV app version includes is a PiP mode. However, TelecomTalk reports that the new PiP mode is currently limited to the app itself. If you are an Airtel customer, we recommend updating the Airtel TV app on your smartphone to explore all the new features. It is possible that a similar update for the iOS platform will be made available very soon.

Airtel TV App Offers More Than 10000 Movies, 350+ Live TV Channels

The Airtel TV app is one of the best out there when it comes to access to Live TV channels. Airtel customers can watch over 350 channels across multiple Indian languages on the app. In addition to being able to watch the channels in high quality, users can also pause and play Live TV. Airtel TV app also offers over 10,000 movies and hundreds of TV shows thanks to its partnership with streaming services such as ZEE5, HOOQ, Alt Balaji, Hungama, Eros Now, ShareIt, and YouTube.

Aside from the content available on the Airtel TV app, the private telco also offers 1-year free Amazon Prime membership and 3-months free Netflix subscription to eligible customers as part of #AirtelThanks. As mentioned earlier, the company recently announced complementary access to ZEE5 for its Platinum postpaid customers. Airtel’s top customer tier includes customers on Infinity Postpaid plans priced at INR 499 or higher. The offer can be availed by Airtel Platinum postpaid customers through the Airtel Thanks app, which was previously know as the My Airtel App.
