Dell has expanded its most popular gaming laptop series with the launch of the Alienware X-series. The company has taken the wraps off the latest Alienware x15 and x17 gaming laptops which come with some real jaw-dropping specifications and features. Dell is touting the devices as super-thin powerhouses. The highlighted feature of the laptops are Nvidia RTX 30 series GPU integration, improved thermal, 11th-gen Intel processors, RGB lighting, super thin design, powerful heat dissipation vents, and a lot more among the others. Currently, both gaming laptops are up for sale in the United States. Let’s have a closer look at the specifications, features, and price of the newly launched Alienware x15 and x17 laptop.
Alienware x15 and x17 Price
So far the Alienware m17 was the thinnest gaming laptop from the brand with a 17.3-inch display. While the m15 turned out to be the slimmest in the 15-inch display segment. But the arrival of Alienware x15 and x17 has taken over the crown and become the slimmest gaming laptops from the company. According to the official announcement the Alienware x15 is launched with a starting price of USD 1,999 (approx Rs 1,45,724). On the other hand, the x17 is up for grabs at USD 2,099 (approx Rs 1,53,000).
Alienware x15 and x17 Specifications
The Dell Alienware x15 flaunts a 15-inch and the x17 features 17-inch display panels which measure 0.6-inch and 0.8-inch thickness respectively. The x15 comes with a full HD display with a resolution of 1080 pixels and 165Hz or 360Hz, or a QHD screen at 240Hz. On the other hand, the x17 gaming laptop will be available for grabs in two full HD options, or a UHD (4K) 120Hz refresh rate option.
Under the hood, the laptops are powered by the 11th-Gen Core i7 or Core i9 Tiger Lake-H processors, paired with the no-slouch GeForce RTX 3060 and going up to the powerful GeForce RTX 3080. Both the laptops will be available for sale with these two configurations.
The Alienware x-series laptops come with a smart new cooling system to offer a slim design. According to the company, the cooling technology of the gaming laptops is equipped with Element 31, which ensures a 25 percent improved thermal performance. The newly launched laptop also offers quad fans for better heat dissipation.
“We’ve engineered the next evolution of our Alienware Cryo-TechTM cooling technology which introduces Element 31, an exclusive thermal interface material (TIM) concocted from Encapsulated Gallium-Silicone liquid metal compound. This material exists between the CPU and their thermal elements to disperse heat and mitigate spikes in core temperatures from affecting the system’s performance,” says Dell in its blog post.
