Alleged OPPO Reno 6 Spotted on TENAA, Key Specifications Leaked Ahead of Launch

OPPO is prepping up for the launch of the Reno 6 series smartphones. This upcoming series is rumoured to introduce three new devices – the Reno 6, Reno 6 Pro, and the Reno 6 Pro+. The latter two handsets – the Reno 6 Pro and the Reno 6 Pro+ were spotted at TENAA certification earlier. The TENAA listing had revealed key specifications of these smartphones. Now, in a recent development, the base vanilla model, i.e the OPPO Reno 6 has gained the required TENAA certification in China. The TENAA certification reveals the specifications of the Reno 6 ahead of launch. Let’s have a look at the details revealed by TENAA certification:

OPPO Reno 6 Visits TENAA Certification Ahead of Launch

The OPPO Reno 6 that has passed the TENAA certification carries model number as OPPO PEQM00. Earlier the Reno 6 Pro and the Reno 6 Pro+ were spotted at TENAA with model numbers PENM00 and PEPM00. According to the preliminary certification listing, the Reno 6 will sport a 6.43-inch display. Dimensions-wise, the device might measure at around 156.8×72.1×7.59mm. On the software side of things, the Reno 6 is expected to run Android 11 out of the box. The device might ship with a dual 2100mAh battery.

Rumours suggest us that the Reno 6 will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 900 chipset. The Dimensity 900 SoC is expected to offer better performance than the Dimensity 820 and Snapdragon 768G chipsets if the previous leak by Digital Chat Station is to be considered. One of the Reno 6 series device, i.e the one with model number PEQM00 might offer 65W fast-charging support. This information was revealed by the 3C certification listing earlier. If we go by the previous Reno 6 Pro and the Reno 6 Pro+ TENAA certifications, both these are handsets are tipped to sport a 6.5-inch display. These handsets might pack a 4500mAh battery. Similar to the Reno 6, both these variants might also run Android 11 out of the box.

As of now, the launch date of the Reno 6 series smartphones remains unknown currently. Rumours suggest that the Reno 6 lineup might launch on May 22nd in China.
