Back in June this year, the Chinese smartphone company – Vivo obtained the Vivo Pad trademark for its first-ever Android tablet. The upcoming Vivo Tab is expected to launch in the first half of 2022. Last month, the specifications and live images of the upcoming Vivo tablet had also appeared on the web. Now, in a new development, the popular Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has shared key specifications of the upcoming Vivo Pad. Let us take a closer look at what Vivo might have in store with its first-ever Android tablet.

Vivo Pad will be Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC!

Digital Chat station reveals that the Vivo pad will feature a high refresh date display. However, the screen size of the tablet hasn’t been tipped yet. Additionally, the Vivo tablet will offer a full-screen experience as it will come with minimal bezels. DCS has not revealed whether the tablet will offer an LCD display or an AMOLED display. Neither, the tipster has shared the display resolution. For what it’s worth, we will see a new Android tablet with minimal bezels and a high refresh rate.

Powering the Vivo Pad could be an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. To those unaware, Qualcomm Snapdragon is built on a 7nm fabrication process and is an improved version of Snapdragon 865+. With this processor, the Vivo Pad might go head to head against Xiaomi’s Mi Pad 5 Pro. DCS further claims that Vivo Pad might offer a software experience similar to the OriginOS for Fold.

Vivo Pad might be equipped with an 8,000mAh battery unit. Unfortunately, the tipster hasn’t shared any other details about the upcoming Vivo tablet. However, we can expect the upcoming tablet to show up on other certification websites in the coming months as we approach its launch. Other than Tablets, Vivo is also expected to foray into foldables and laptop segment in 2022.
