Xiaomi has remained numb on the launch of its first foldable smartphone. The company did showcase a foldable with a tri-fold design. However, the device was not made available commercially. A foldable phone from the Chinese smartphone company has now been spotted in the wild.
As per the leaked images, the Mi Foldable phone will have a similar design like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2. The foldable has been covered by a thick protective case to hide the design. However, the on-display content reveals that the device is running on MIUI 12. This confirms that Xiaomi is indeed working on a foldable phone like the Galaxy Z Fold2. The display has a thick crease in between, further revealing the folding mechanism.
Specifications of the Xiaomi foldable smartphone are currently unknown. A Weibo post that uploaded these images claims that the Mi Foldable phone will release later this year.
