Amazfit, one of the popular smart wearable brands worldwide, is working on a new GTR-series smartwatch. The company launched the GTR 4 last year as its most premium smartwatch in India for Rs 16,999. The GTR 4 might get a younger sibling soon. Amazfit is reportedly working on the launch of the GTR Mini. The company has not confirmed any details about the launch or even the existence of the rumoured product for that matter.
However, a new report by GSM Arena has revealed the design renders of the upcoming Amazfit smartwatch. According to the report, the GTR Mini will sit next to the GTS mini series in the lineup. The report also reveals some key specifications of the smartwatch. Let’s take a look at the Amazfit GTR Mini specifications, features and design renders leaked ahead of the launch.
Amazfit GTR Mini Design Renders
The Amazfit GTR mini will be the first smartwatch in the company’s GTR lineup which will feature a compact circular display. The smartwatch will continue to sport the circular dial and has a 1.28-inch display. In comparison, the GTR 4, which is the premium version, has a 1.43-inch AMOLED display. The GTR mini is said to feature a 1.28-inch 2.5D AMOLED display and comes with a stainless steel casing.
The smartwatch has the model number A2174 and is codenamed Leiden. As per the leaked design renders, there is a single button on the right side of the watch. The smartwatch will launch in several colour options. These are Black, Blue and Pink. The Black and Blue colour options have a silver colour case, whereas the Pink colour option has a gold colour case. It would not be a surprise if the latter is called Rose Gold.
The smartwatch will have plenty of health and fitness-related features. These include 24-hour heart rate, SpO2 and stress monitoring. The watch will reportedly have over 120 sports modes with activity recognition support.
The GTR mini will pack a 500mAh battery. It will boot Zepp OS, which is the company’s custom software based on RTOS. The smartwatch will support Bluetooth 5.1 LE and will be compatible with any Android 7.0 or iOS 12 and up smartphones.
The exact launch date of the smartwatch is unknown. However, we can expect them to launch soon in India and other markets. The GTR mini could be priced under Rs 10,000 in India.
