Amazon’s Fire lineup of tablets is one of the best tablets you can get in the affordable price segment. It has now refreshed the Fire HD 10 (2021) tablet in the series with a new model. The Fire HD 10 (2023) did not receive any mention from the company during the September product launch event for some reason. Instead, it received a silent listing on the Amazon website. The Amazon Fire HD 10 (2023) is available in two configurations: 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 3GB RAM with 64GB storage. These two variants are priced at USD 139.99 (about INR 11,630) and USD 179.99 (about INR 14,952) respectively with lockscreen ads. If you don’t want ads on your tablet, you will need to shell out USD 154.99 (about INR 12,875) and USD 194.99 (about INR 16,198) respectively.
Interested buyers can choose from Black, Lilac, and Ocean colours.
Amazon Fire HD 10 (2023) Specifications and Features
The Amazon Fire HD 10 (2023) comes with minor yet important improvements over the predecessor. It sports a 10.1-inch Full HD display which should appeal to users who prefer bigger display panels for entertainment and reading purposes. There are big bezels on all four sides but those help with holding the tablet and avoiding accidental touches.
Under the hood, it has an undisclosed octa-core processor. It is claimed to deliver 25% faster performance than the previous model. There is 3GB of RAM available along with 32GB and 64GB onboard storage. It supports microSD cards up to 1TB for storage expansion if you need that.
The tablet has a 5MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The latter is a big improvement over the 2MP camera you got on the 2021 model. It should help you have clearer video calls with your family, friends, and even office colleagues.
The battery capacity is unknown but Amazon is promising a 13-hour battery backup while reading, browsing the web, watching videos, or listening to music. This is a slight improvement over the battery life we saw previously. The tablet supports 9W charging speed and will take about four hours to charge completely.
The USP of the Fire HD 10 (2023) is Made for Amazon Stylus Pen support. It is only the second Fire tablet to support the stylus after the Fire HD Max 11. This is a stylus that simulates the feeling of writing on paper. It has 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity and responds to your handwriting. However, it does not come bundled with the tablet and needs to be purchased separately.
