Amazon Prime Membership Price Getting Hiked From December 14: Revised Annual, Monthly Charges


Amazon Prime Subscription’s annual price was hiked back in October. While the membership fees was revised a month back, it never went live as Amazon was still promoting the Rs 999 annual plan for all the users. It looks like now, Amazon is all set to bring the new pricing of the Amazon Prime Annual subscription.

As spotted by Desidime, the new Amazon Prime subscription price is expected to go live from December 14 as the screenshots reveal that the Rs 999 offer for Prime subscription will end on December 13. While that’s for annual membership cost, if you prefer a monthly plan, it’ll cost Rs 179 and Rs 459 for the 3-month plan.

Anyone who purchases the Prime membership on or before December 13 can get the annual plan for Rs 999, thereby saving Rs 500. Similarly, one can save Rs 130 on a three-month plan and Rs 50 on one month plan.

Amazon Prime was initially launched in India with Rs 499 annual plan as an introductory offer and then it was moved to Rs 999 per year and now, with a third hike, the Prime membership will cost Rs 1,499 per year.

Recently, Amazon launched a native macOS app with the ability to download movies and shows for offline viewing. The app will allow users to stream and download content for offline viewing.
