Among Us is Coming to Xbox in 2021 to Make Crossplay Even Better

Among Us was launched back in 2018 and after two years the game has witnessed sudden growth in terms of popularity and subscriber base. In early September 2020, the game had more than 100 million downloads across the world and the player count rose to 1.5 million later. With the sudden growth, the game developers have also started putting more effort into promoting the game on all the platforms. Recently, it was announced that the game title is going to be available on Nintendo Switch and now Among Us is heading to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S in 2021.

Among Us Coming to Xbox Consoles

Yes, you read it correctly, the game will be soon playable of Xbox consoles via Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass service. The news is officially confirmed by the Xbox Twitter handle and on the same day the game joined the Xbox Game Pass for PC.

“*pops out of vent* Oops, we’ve been caught. @AmongUsGame comes to Xbox and @XboxGamePass in 2021!” reads the Xbox official Twitter post. The company has also confirmed the news on its official blog post confirming the news, “We’ve updated the title of the post to reflect the availability of Among Us on Xbox Game Pass for PC, and noting its upcoming availability in 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass for Console.”


It will be harder for Among Us to become a most popular game in a year like 2020, but it seems that the upcoming year will be even bigger for the game developers. The game title is also said to bring the new map to the gameplay called The Airship in 2021.

Just to recall, Among Us is an online, 4-10 multiplayer game that has you and your friends attempting to prepare your spaceship for departure. But it’s not that easy, there will be an impostor who is going to sabotage the ship and look for killing your crewmates.
