2020 brings a lot of disappointment for a lot of us but it seems that it’s a good year for Among Us as the game title has suddenly become popular. The game has seen a huge rise two years after the launch and now the game is also coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC. So now PC players will have another option to access the game outside the Steam store or from the Innersloth site.
The news was announced via Xbox Wire on December 10, 2020, according to the forum Among Us is going to join a wide range of games titles available in Xbox Game Pass for PC. The company is yet to reveal any release date.
“Need a primer on a game that’s been dominating the world with over half a billion players? We got you. Among Us is an online, 4-10 multiplayer game that has you and your friends attempting to prepare your spaceship for departure. Work together and complete your tasks quickly but beware… there may be impostors aboard!” reads the Xbox Newswire.
For the ones who are unaware of the game, Among Us was launched back in 2018, but it witnessed a gigantic hike in 2020. By December the game title had managed to gather more than half a billion user player base. The concept of the game is simple, a team of up to ten players work together to complete a task on a spaceship.
These tasks increase the difficulties for players as they have to fix cables, swipe IDs, and a lot more. Most importantly, the crewmates have to identify the Imposter who is planning all the difficulties for the players. Imposter has access to unique features to sabotage the functioning of the spaceship by turning off oxygen, causing reactors, hiding in safe spots, and killing crewmates. Players need to spot the imposter and vote them out.
