Google I/O 2021 is around the corner. The annual Android developer event goes virtual on May 18 after a year’s break. Google is likely to introduce its next version of Android – Android 12. Ahead of the developer event, key details of the next Google mobile operating system have leaked online. Tipster Jon Prosser has uploaded some images that reveal the Android 12 announcements Google will make at the event. Google’s bringing a massive visual overhaul to the upcoming Android update. Android 12 set to get a major visual overhaul with stronger privacy, leaked slides reveal

Google is likely to unveil Android 12 at the Google I/O 2021 developer event. Key details of the mobile operating system have leaked online.

Tipster Jon Prosser from Front Page Tech has revealed images that reveal the changes coming to the upcoming Android version. It claims to offer a “beautiful new experience” and “stronger privacy with security protections.” Google’s upcoming mobile OS will also help “all your devices work better together.”

The next slide shows the new changes in the UI elements. There is a new media widget, a battery saver toggle and a redesigned brightness level slider. The leaked images also reveal a redesigned weather and clock widget. 

Previously leaked details reveal that Google will introduce a new Conversation highlights widget. The video shared by Prosser also shows the stacked notification panel and the ability to manually group notifications. Other changes include an updated keyboard, a revamped home screen with a huge clock in the centre. It will also show the number of unread notifications on the top-left corner next to the clock when the device is unlocked.
