Apple, last week, refreshed its iPad lineup and introduced the Apple iPad (10th Gen) and the Apple iPad Pro (M2 chip). The latest iPads went on sale a couple of days back in some markets. In India, the all-new iPads will go on sale starting today. The latest iPad Pro models are powered by Apple’s in-house M2 chip. However, compared to the last gen, the prices are gone up significantly this time around.

The iPad (10th Gen) has gotten a much-awaited design overhaul and it now looks similar to the iPad Air. However, the iPad (10th Gen) does not offer a laminated display, so it is incompatible with the Apple Pencil (2nd Gen). The Apple iPad Pro (M2) is available in two screen sizes – 11-inch and 12.9-inch. Users get an option to choose between five storage options – 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB. The iPad (10th Gen) come in 64GB and 256GB storage options.

The iPad Pro (M2) comes in two screen sizes – 11-inch and 12.9-inch. The iPad Pro (M2) 11-inch features a 120Hz Pro-motion  Liquid Retina LED-backlit display with 2388 × 1668 pixel resolution, 264ppi pixel density, and 600nits brightness. It weighs around 470grams and measures 247.6 × 178.5 × 5.9mm.

The iPad Pro (M2) 12.9-inch sports a 120Hz Pro-motion Liquid Retina XDR mini-LED backlit display with a 2732 × 2048 pixel resolution, 264ppi pixel density, 1600nits peak brightness (in HDR mode), and a 10,00,000:1 contrast ratio. It measures 280.6 × 214.9 × 5.9mm and weighs about 685grams.

Under the hood, the latest iPad Pro sports Apple’s in-house M2 chip that comes with an octa-core CPU, a 10-core GPU, and a 16-core neural engine. The 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage variants get 8GB of RAM. Whereas, the 1TB and 2TB storage variants feature 16GB of RAM.

The iPad (10th Gen) makes use of a Type-C port for charging and data transfers. However, since it doesn’t feature a laminated display, it is not compatible with Apple Pencil (2nd Gen).
