
Apple has announced three new Macs at its ongoing WWDC 2023 event. The lineup includes the all-new 15-inch MacBook Air M2, Mac Studio with M2 Max and M2 Ultra, and a new Mac Pro with M2 Ultra chipset. Apple claims that the 15-inch MacBook Air is the world’s best 15-inch laptop, whereas the other two offerings are powered by the top-of-the-line chipset produced by the Cupertino-based tech giant. Here are all details you need to know about the shiny new MacBooks announced at the WWDC 2023.

Starting with the 15-inch MacBook Air M2, the laptop starts at Rs 1,34,900 and will be available for Rs 1,24,900 to students. It comes in midnight, starlight, silver, and space gray colours.
The Mac Studio starts at Rs 2,09,900 and will be priced at Rs 1,88,900 for students. The Mac Pro, on the other hand, comes with a starting price of Rs 7,29,900. It’s available in both tower and rack enclosures.
These new Macs are already available for ordering at the official Apple online store in India starting today. It will be available at Apple Store locations and Apple Authorized Resellers starting June 13.
Apple 15-inch MacBook Air M2 Specifications, Features

Apple says that the 15-inch MacBook Air M2 is the world’s thinnest 15-inch laptop measuring only 11.5mm thin and weighing just 3.3 pounds. The new MacBook Air M2 flaunts a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina Display with up to 500 nits of brightness and support for 1 billion colours. According to Apple, the display offers two times the resolution and 25% percent more brightness than a PC.
Powering the laptop is the Apple M2 processor, which the brand claims to be 12 times faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Air. The M2 chipset is an octa-core SoC with a 10-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine. Out of the box, the laptop boots the macOS Ventura. Apple is offering the laptop with up to 24GB RAM and up to 2TB storage.
Other features include MagSafe, TouchID support, Magic Keyboard, a 1080p camera, and a six-speaker sound system. Connectivity-wise, the laptop offers two Thunderbolt ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
New Apple Mac Pro and Mac Studio Specifications, Features

Apple has also launched the all-new Mac Studio and Mac Pro in India with the brand-new M2 Ultra chipset. The Mac Studio also comes in an M2 Max-powered variant. Apple claims that the latest M2 Ultra is its “most powerful chip with the versatility of PCIe expansion.”
Apple claims that the Mac Studio M2 Max is 50 percent faster than the previous-generation Mac Studio. The M2 Max chipset flaunts a 12-core CPU, up to a 38-core GPU, and up to 96GB of unified RAM. The M2 Ultra SoC, on the other hand, offers a 24-core CPU, up to a 76-core GPU, and up to 192GB of RAM. Apple claims that the M2 Ultra variant is up to three times faster than the last-generation Mac Studio with M1 Ultra.
The new Mac Studio also brings a host of advanced connectivity options including a higher-bandwidth HDMI, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, two USB Type-C ports, an SD card slot, four Thunderbolt 4 ports, 10GB Ethernet port, and two USB-A ports. The enhanced HDMI port enables up to 8K resolution and 240Hz frame rates. It can connect up to six Pro Display XDRs.
Lastly, the Mac Pro finally joins the Apple Silicon lineup as the latest model comes with an M2 Ultra Chipset. The configuration of the chipset is the same as mentioned before but the Mac Pro can be configured with up to 192GB of mammoth RAM with 800GBps of unified memory bandwidth.
Additionally, the new Mac Pro also brings the PCIe expansion with seven slots. There are six open expansion slots. This will help creators insert digital signal processing (DSP) cards, serial digital interface (SDI) I/O cards, and more. The Mac Pro offers connectivity options such as eight Thunderbolt 4 ports, three USB-A ports, two higher-bandwidth HDMI ports, two 10GB Ethernet ports, and a headphone jack. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. The new Mac Pro can support up to six Pro Display XDRs.
