Apple’s 2019 flagship the iPhone 11 units reportedly found defective for some users. According to the report the units manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020 has witness issues with the display. As per the users due to this display defect, the screen has stopped responding to touch. However, the company has acknowledged the issue and launched a global replacement program for all the users who are facing issue with their iPhone 11 units. This program will allow users to replace their defected iPhone 11’s display.

Apple has determined that a small percentage of iPhone 11 displays may stop responding to touch due to an issue with the display module. Affected devices were manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020.

If your iPhone 11 has been exhibiting this issue, please use the serial number checker below to see if your device is eligible for this program. If so, Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will provide service, free of charge,” reads Apple’s official website.


Do note that this program covers affected iPhone 11 models for 2 years after the first sale of the device. The iPhone 11 units that are not manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020 are not eligible for this program. Here are a few simple steps to check the eligibility.

  • First, head to the dedicated support page of the iPhone 11 Display Module Replacement Program
  • Select your country from the list
  • Now, you need to enter the serial number of your iPhone 11
  • Click on Submit button

If your iPhone is eligible for the replacement program then you can visit the Apple Authorized Service Provider and get the screen replacement done without paying anything. “Apple may restrict or limit repair to the original country or region of purchase. This worldwide Apple program doesn’t extend the standard warranty coverage of the iPhone 11. If you believe your iPhone 11 was affected by this issue, and you paid to repair your device, you can contact Apple about a refund,” reads the support page.
